what sadhna is doing, its WRONG!!!

i am NOT saying she is a bad human being, in fact, she is a very good human being, i think we would all agree on that. but what sadhna is doing, MUCH of it (NOT ALL OF IT), is WRONG!!!! i really hope no woman will ever follow her example in thinking what she's doing is righteous. i'm not saying its bad to be self-less or to sacrifice for others, but its also not good to have no self-respect, no self-esteem, both of which, sadi has absolutely NONE of!!! i hope after watching this show, no woman ever feels that this is what we're supposed to do, what sadhna is doing. we (women) should feel empowered, we should feel that we have the right to stand up for ourselves when needed. being selfless is a great and necessary quality, but being selfless doesn't equal having no pride for yourself nor does it equal staying quiet when everyone treats you like dirt. i remember once reading a member say here, "why doesn't sadhna have any happiness...?" wanna know why, cause sadhna HERSELF won't let her have any happiness!!!! forget vasu, she, herself is her greatest enemy!!!

some of you may be wondering, why am i saying all of this...? cause, after watching today's epi (feb 26), i had to say something. i was quite puzzled today when i saw sadhna lie to mamaji when he tried to thank her and she instead replied that the money was arranged all by vinu, so she shouldn't the one thanked, it should be vinu!!!! i was also puzzled when she stopped vinu from trying to say something to nani when nani was scolding her for getting the operation money 4 hours late. WHY OH WHY IS SADHNA LIKE THIS????!!!!!!!! what she did in today's epi, is NOT called being selfless, its called being spineless and having absolutely no self-respect, at all!!!! something else sadhna has done that should also NOT be called being self-less: her signing the divorce papers so she could get the money. i will never, NEVER find any logic, ANY logic at all, as to why sadi did that, when she very well could've gotten the money some other way, WITHOUT giving qurbaan to her happiness, WITHOUT giving qurbaan to her self-respect, her dignity. it made me sick, SICK to my stomach to see vasu belittling her like that, showing her false pity on sadi, and seeing sadi practically BEG to her for the money!!!! i could understand it if she had absolutely no other option but to beg to vasu, in order to get the money, but that wasn't the case, AT ALL. she had so many other options. for one, she could've won the competition, but she gave that away on PURPOSE. ok, so she wanted to see her sister happy, FINE. well then, why not ASK ragi, ranvir, or even alekh for help????!!!!!! WHY DID SHE ACT LIKE A SILENT PUPPET, AND NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT MAMIJI'S ILLNESS?????? WHY WHY WHY??????!!!!!!!!!! i will NEVER understand why she NEVER asked any one of those people for help, who would've EASILY helped her, WITHOUT holding any conditions, but she goes and asks someone like vasu for help, who not only held a disgusting condition, but obviously doesn't even give a crap about mamiji's well being as well. the current predicament sadi is in right now, all her unhappiness: the fact that she's unhappy she signed the divorce papers (cause CLEARLY she did NOT want to sign them), the fact that nani scolded her for being 4 hours late and she stopped vinu from saying anything to her, the fact that now no one knows of vinu's foolish decision to put the house on mortgage, the fact that now no one knows that sadi is the one who got the money for m's operation, the fact that now no one knows she threw in the towel so ragi could win the competition, and i can go on and on and on and ON....all of that, is NOT of anyone else's fault but sadi. forget sadi actually trying to stand up for herself, she doesn't even let others stand up for her when needed (ie. when she stopped vinu today from saying anything).

lastly, i really, REALLY hope that NO ONE, especially women, will mistake all these nonsensical actions of sadi that i mentioned above, as righteousness or as being selfless. please my fellow women, please know that we're not here just to sacrifice ourselves, sacrifice our respect, sacrifice our dignity...we have EVERY right to feel empowered, to feel the need to stand up for ourselves when others ruthlessly take advantage of us!!! sadi is NOT a good role model for women, or anyone else for that matter. and frankly, all the threads about how she's the very definition of humanity, or how what she's doing is righteousness, is starting to scare me!!!!

I would prefer finding ways to earn money than beg ungrateful people money ...it is personal coice....Sadhna preferred the first way...whether it worked out or not is a different story and is not in her hands...(though I didnt like that she lost for RAGINI???).

There are many more people in Bidaai who shouldnt be our ideal when compared to Sadhna..... it is very easy to comment on selfless people but being selfless is something which many people caanot even imagine doing....for example Nani in today's episode...what did she do to help get her daughter operated ???absolutely nothing but she was cheap enough to comment on Sadhna that she came late...The list is endless and so are the scenarios.....

very well said..its so easy to criticise selfless people, but so difficult to even utter some sentences about their goodness and spread optimism.

I wont comment on the part why Sadhana didn't confide in Ranveer/Ragini before or ask for help....this has been discussed several times already.

She had to give credit to Vinu for arranging the money...otherwise Mamaji would question her that where has she got the money from and how. Mamaji would become even more tensed, worried and restless. Can she tell him that I went to Mahotav..jiji was also participating...so I lost and signed the divorce papers. She also saved Vinu as she doesn't want Mamaji to know that he has already Mortgaged the KN.

Secondly...if Nani is so insensitive and senseless then it doesn't mean Sadhana would start behaving the same way. Kaushi is battling with her life inside the OT...is this the time and place to create a scene ??

The term "Self respect" and "Self-Esteem" are so over-rated. I must say Sadhana handled the situation very well. People like Nani, Malti are so dumb and tactless and the best way to deal with these kind of people is by ignoring them.

Yes sadhna is a graceful, sacrificing, and heroic individual and some may even proclaim that she is a character of piety. Her actions are good, and her intentions are pure, she cannot be faulted on those accounts. However my personal opinion is that she lacks wisdom, and is quite naive. sometimes this factor alone can cause much harm and detruction, infortunately the biggest destruction is the one she is causing to herself...

i dont think sadhna should have let ragini win the competition.. she worked so hard to get where she did... and one selfish comment by ragini made her forget all of it.. which is really sad.. i think ur right that sadhna needs to have more self respect..however, i do understand that her case is a bit more complex because in order to be a strong and confidant person.. u need to recieve that feeling from somewhere and so far nobody on this show has given her any kind of respect.. im surprised that she is coping so welll given the things people have said and done to her.. anyone could go crazy.. but i feel it was wrong of her to lose on purpous... losing on purpose signifies that her sisters happiness is of utmost importance to her... even more important than saving someone's life... thats how i interpreted it.. if she hadnt lost... she would still be married.. and things would eventually settle with ragini once she found out why sadhna competed in the first place...

Sadhana is a wise young woman but she is so naive and innocent. This is how her character has been sketched from the beginning.
She has lied or hid the truth many times (as per the circumstances) not to hurt others and her intentions are always pure. She ends up causing self pain due to her selfless actions but she never complains or even wastes a single minute in self pity. Instead she moves on with the flow and makes something good out of it.
