Punjabi singer Karan Aujla has announced a fresh concert in Mumbai weeks after criticism surrounding his earlier show in the city. The singer confirmed that he will return with a new event titled Mumbai 2.0, promising a revised concert experience for fans.

The announcement comes after several attendees complained about arrangements at his March 3 performance held at MMRDA Grounds. Social media posts from the night showed large crowds waiting in long queues for water while many struggled to find shade in the heat. Videos from the venue quickly circulated online, leading to criticism of the organisers and the overall event management.

Addressing the reaction, the singer’s team shared an update through the organisers. Team Innovation wrote, “Mumbai, you spoke we heard you loud and clear!” The message signalled that the team had taken note of the feedback from attendees and planned to respond with a new event in the city.

The upcoming concert has been named Mumbai 2.0 and is scheduled to take place on April 12, 2026. The venue this time will be Mahalaxmi Racecourse. According to the announcement, the artist and the promoters reviewed the audience feedback before deciding to return with a reworked show format.

The organisers also confirmed that fans who attended the earlier concert will receive a gesture in response to the criticism. The statement said, “Fans who purchased tickets for the March 3, 2026 show will receive complimentary access to Mumbai 2.0.” Fresh tickets for the April event will be sent to eligible ticket holders through their registered mobile numbers.

Those who want to upgrade their ticket category will have the option to contact customer support through the ticketing platform and pay the difference in price. Organisers have also advised attendees to reach the venue by 5 pm to avoid entry delays.

For new buyers, tickets for the April concert will go live on March 8, 2026 at 12 pm through Zomato owned ticketing platform District.

The controversy had surfaced during Aujla’s P Pop Culture World Tour stop in Mumbai, where several fans described the arrangements as inadequate due to overcrowding, heat and limited facilities. Following the backlash, the singer hinted on Instagram that he may return with a night concert in Mumbai to offer fans a better experience.
