Update for Friday, Jan 29, 2010 - episode 115:


Shankar comes into the room, and tells Nandhini to pack her stuff. He says they can leave the "furnitures" behind. She asks him where they are going, and he tells her "thani kudithanam". She tells him that she doesn't like the idea of breaking up the joint family, and he says that he is also very angry about her not getting the position on the board of directors. Nandhini tells him that it doesn't bother her and she doesn't want all that prestige. He is annoyed that she is always taking up their side and not his, and tells her that his decision is final, and she is to get ready to leave the next morning.

Shankar and Nandhini are planning to leave the next day. Saku tells Bhaskar to stop him from leaving. Kalyani is about to leave for work and she sees them leaving. She asks Shankar if he is going out of town, and he says that he is going to set up a thani kudithanam. Bhaskar tells him not to go, Saku tells him not to go, pavitra tells him not to go, even the maid, Ponnamma, tells him not to go. Shankar says he is not going because he is angry with them, but he fears that if he continues to stay there, their relationship will deteriorate. He says that they have all tried to ruin his friendship with Prasad, and his father insulted Prasad the other day, but even that he could tolerate, but he cannot tolerate the insults to his wife. Deva stands quietly listening to him rave and rant.

Kalyani talks of how they have let him have his own way for everything, but he feels like they are not treating him as capable of taking his own decisions, they won't let him go into business for himself, so that is why he has taken this decision and it is final. He tells his dad that by not letting Nandhini go with Prasad, he has insulted not only Prasad, he has cast suspicion on Nandhini and in turn, insulted Shankar also. At this point, Deva roars that they are trying to break up his friendship with Prasad because he is not a good guy, and they have a good reason for saying that. Kalyani stops her husband from saying any more, and pleads with him silently to be quiet. Saku is busy watching all this, and wondering what could be going on.
