Oh man I'm so sick of how Indian tv shows can show such violence to women....here in Canada shows that are made here and in USA don't show viloece take for exapmle Jersey Shore when snooki got punched in the face by a guy they didn't show that crap....and i think that india shouldn't because it's telling men there that it's ok to do it and it's not....i really wish they don't show that crap it was disusting how the character prateeksha was getting beaten up by her fiance.not cool ekta....not cool

Agree..they must do something.. atleast not to show these type of violences on television.. but the fact is that it happens every where in India and its not a new thing

Waht they need to make are realistic shows now.

No person--let alone a woman-- in there right mind do nothing had they been in Prats shoes. No person would agree once they knew so much about an 🤬 like Prashant.

They indian soaps have just been outdate for a while now. Centering around non-sense drama (not all of it, you know what I am talking about, the typical saas-bahu, hatred, putting misery on the leading women, etc).

No one will be happy as me when we get a modern (without sex being the center attention) indian soap. Because some of the things people do in the soaps, no people do these days.

Honestly all the indian soaps have the same story. You can perdict most of the time that what will happen next. I have yet to c a serial which shows women not being tortured or women standing up for her right.

i was very upset with yesterdays episode to say the least! Regardless of what ANYONE does NO ONE deserves to be BEATENED! WTF was Ekta's fat a** thinking? does she have any idea what kind of a message shes sending out to a country that's already trying to deal with such issues?? For gods sake, people DIE! is she not in touch with the world??

Even though Shashank lectured her afterwards, IMO it didnt do much to unturn the damage. DISAPPOINTED!

The part i hated the most?

When Prateeksha told Shashank that Prashant got the right to beat her when she agreed to marry him 😡

Thank you very much for starting this topic. I was about to post a topic about it the instant i watched that epi but due to some personal work i couldnt.

I totally agree with you that they should not show such violence in the serial. It sends wrong message + impression across the viewers. Although this is reality but it has to be portrayed in a different way. The typical saas bahu serials are tooooooooo unrealistic. They show two far ends which are:

(i) the heroine is a model of sacrifice

(ii) the heroine is way too smart to fight for truth even if it is stupid to do that. e.g. these days in Bidaai, Sadhna gave witness against ranvir-one who saved her saying that I was telling the truth.

they should show how women are mistreated in our world but in a positive way to show that this shoudl not be done but not in a way Ekta shows it.....

absolutely, i was fuming when she said that i have given him right to beat me by agreeing to marry him. No religion gives a husband the right to beat a women......

if prashant has taken those pictures then he very well know that prats has done nothing more than hugging him......nothing out of her limits was done.......
