You know...I understand exactly what you are saying. There is plenty of reason to be dismayed these past months. That is why BMTD is on the cutting block (still not out of danger). But it is not a fair assessment to say that it can never regain its interest - perhaps move in a different direction altogether. This is the same team that created magic in the first place.
That said, my feeling is this: if the team can come up with a magical direction to take the soap that is at least as good as before, then by all means I am eager to give them a chance.
If they feel they are out of 'golden' ideas for this particular unit/team - which is fair: three years of good story is pretty awesome! - then I would like to see BMTD wrapped up in an elegant satisfying manner. Spend these next months ending the story in a way that leaves us viewers just as happy as we've been these past years. THAT is why I'm glad our show is not rushing off air immediately.
I hope you will agree that we can at least hope for an endearing close to a heartwarming show. No?
