• What was the reason for the fight that broke out between you and your wife?
We fought over my father who has come down to Mumbai yesterday. I really don't know what's wrong and happening on the other front (pauses). This is probably the first time in my life that I am at a loss for words. But I do love Saba very much, which is why even after three years of separation, I re-married her. It is her insecurity that has aggravated everything. After a lot of effort from the doctors, my father is able to come to my house. I only want my wife to understand that he is my father, not my mistress. If I pay more attention to him, there's nothing to be worried about. I owe everything to him and I don't think loving your parent is a crime.
• How did the problem start?
I don't know why Saba threw a tantrum when she came to knew that my son, Azaan was here. She was in Dubai at that time, yet it was a huge problem. I never have a problem with the son she has from her previous marriage and expect her to be the same. I'm hurt that she hasn't welcomed Azaan with open arms. I need Saba during such times when my father is ill, instead, she is giving me trauma.
When I took Azaan to Dubai for New Year, I had also taken him to her house. But she asked him to get out of the house. To top it all, even her servants behaved very badly and threatened to call the cops. I left the house and stayed with my son, but he was in shock. He saw his father being humiliated by a servant.

I think Saba has made a mockery of herself in front of the police today. The cops asked her if I have hit her or hurt her anywhere and she said no. The cops then asked her that if there is no violence, what is she complaining about. Not only did she embarrass me, but also made a fool of herself. The cops ended the matter saying this is a civic issue that we have to deal with, between ourselves.

See, as my father was getting discharged from the hospital, I told Saba to ask her friend to vacate the guest room she had occupied. I needed a place for my parents. But she had a major problem with my parents coming home. You tell me, if my parents have come to Mumbai, won't they obviously stay with me? It is not that I can't afford to have them stay at a five star hotel, but parampara bhi toh koi cheez hoti hai.
• Would you say your marriage is on the rocks after this incident?
Well she does have this insecurity, but since she married me a second time, I thought she knew her mind. Let's see what happens now. All I can say is that if you mess with my family, you mess with me. But yes, I will always love Saba, my love for her is unconditional.

She said Adnan was getting very angry and abusing her. Later, we summoned Adnan to the police station and told him to solve their differences at home instead of abusing Saba. Still, if they feel that they cannot solve the issue themselves, they have the option of approaching the family court."
