A week after she publicly severed all ties with her family, actress Amisha Patel has revealed the real reasons behind her decision.
Amisha has reportedly told Mid-Day that money was not the only reason for cutting her ties with her family that include her mother Asha, father Amit and brother Ashmit.

A week after she publicly severed all ties with her family, actress Amisha Patel has revealed the real reasons behind her decision.
Amisha has reportedly told Mid-Day that money was not the only reason for cutting her ties with her family that include her mother Asha, father Amit and brother Ashmit.

In an emotional revelation, Amisha told the daily that her parents were against her relationship with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and wanted her to marry some rich industrialist.
Mid Day quotes Amisha as saying: "The day my mother found out about Vikram and me, at 4 am, she beat me with a slipper. Every day there used to be so much of fighting and tension in the house, that after a point, I could not take it."
Amisha added that in those dark days it was Vikram who stood beside her like a rock.
She said that she is finally happy that her life has gotten off to a new start. She ruled out her marriage for next five years and said she wants to concentrate on her acting career now.
