Hi guys
So i've heard that Stephen Harper (horrible) Canadian Prime Minister wishes to spend some billions of dollars on expanding the almost inexistant Canadian Military.
Canada has always been a very peaceful country, and except for those conservatives in Alberta I don't think the big centres really want this.
What's worse is that Canada has been the reason for the slow advancement of the G8 summit, so sources claim.
Now the main issue here is:
What is more important spending billions on enhancing not the most powerful military but a military which is acceptable or spending those billions on bringing about international stability and enhancing the environment?
Also, I've always felt that building a stronger military almost brings you in the forefront and claims to the world that you are agressing and ready to fight tthe world. So as it has been in the past during the WW1, wouldn't enhancing the army and making it stronger further aggravate any tensions and make a conflict more likely? so basically better army = aggression = increased chances of conflict ...would that be correct?
Let me know what you think.
