That's very nice of him. As much as we all think that Dhoni is not playing, he's playing in the background with their minds. He's making up their minds without being seen on the ground. He is fulfilling his role as their mentor without officially being their mentor.

This season isn't just about how Ruturaj's team learns to play without Dhoni, it is also the season where Dhoni is also practicing to be their mentor coach, which he's eventually going to take in the coming seasons, I'm very sure of it.

I think he has always been there mentor but this yr he is not playing but actively involved in all this guidance agreeing with that soon he may join coaching team for sure..
