Minty..i watched it coz i was sooooo madly excited after all it was part 2 of one of the most iconic movies EVER...but..what was that? i am so so disappointed..i mean they literally destroyed it..The most disappointing what they reduced Miranda to..that character was so interesting in part 1 and they literally took those traits away from her which made her what she was..everything seemed too curated, too polished, too mechanical..not even a patch on the 1st part and that is exactly why sequels are always risky..they make money but mostly they end up being disappointment..at least for me

Mintyji, you forgot to mention Madonna's Vogue and how iconic that song was. To have this song in the movie was a treat, don't you think? smiley31

I agree with the first 3 posts (the 4th, I can't see), yet the inherent 'quality' of the movie doesn't take away what Minty wrote - the character portray of an ambitious woman. smiley1

My The Devil wears Prada 2 review:

I liked the movie, but it wasn’t as good as the first part. I watched this movie in the cinema as the first part was my favourite.
I liked how Andy is eating carbs now, speaks up for herself and is more confident.

Some things were good, like showing digitalisation and Miranda hanging her own coat lol.

My favourite character is Nigel in both parts. I loved Nigel and Andy's scenes.

Emily had the best witty dialogues, and almost every scene was funny.

Miranda was rude to Andy about not letting her sit in the car. Miranda was rather toned down due to HR and also her new first assistant. Miranda opens up to Andy about her dream promotion. Seems like Nigel’s promotion has been snatched by Miranda many times, yet he is selfless.
I liked the final Andy and Miranda car scene where Miranda gives her permission. Also,I liked the final Andy and Emily scene, where Andy cheers Emily up and calls her an icon.

I was not invested in Andrea’s love life at all; the love story was not memorable, nor was I rooting for them.

2.5/5, Some enjoyable moments

My mother found it boring. It's not everyone's cup of tea.
