Rant / Frustration Thread

Taking the liberty to create one since I can't make head or tail of the story or characters..

1. Almost no introduction / setup to the characters - I had to check twice to see if I started at Episode 1 or Episode 20.

2. ML randomly lands at FL's office, gets a job and there is no job description / salary whatsoever discussed. FL's moral conscience kicks in because a stranger rescued her dog and decides to hire a stranger without checking his qualifications / background.

3. FL's friend has only 2 purposes in her life - poop and getting the FL married so they can share common poop stories about their husbands. Did she actually ask her friend (i mean best friend) to settle for a toxic guy because she shouldn't stay alone?!

4. LGBT gang - generic overweight aunties who have no identity beyond their weight because that's what overweight women are all about.

5. FL talks about not needing a man / relationship etc, and the next man that puts gajra in her hair and says two sweet words makes her all emotional so much that she is ready to be engaged. She finds out she has been cheated. Next man Rishabh has the same pattern - is nice to her, and takes care of her family. And now she is feeling possessive / jealous over him? She knows his girlfriend is pregnant and she is crying over her possible heartbreak? HUH?!? Is she that gullible?

6. ML randomly enters FL's life and just because she gives him some food and a job, he feels like he has to do everything to make her life happy..does he have no identity beyond the FL? And now sudden character flip - boy suddenly has a girlfriend who he rushes to at every opportunity, and his new character seems to be the opposite of the initial episodes which is to do whatever he can to annoy/hurt/play games with the FL?

7. Each episode seems to center around exposing ML/FL's fake relationship, or some random marriage rituals.. did we forget that the FL had no life beyond work and was a workaholic? Her family members are increasing by the day - how is she housing all of them in 1 tiny flat?! How long is she going to leave her dog at her friend's? That's very irresponsible.

8. Why are all of the FL's family members so uninteresting? I see potential villains in each 1 of them. Also, all of them are such mediocre actors. To give credit where due, the 1 thing I've liked so far is the FL's mum. I love the way Rishabh is slowly bringing her out of her shell and she's getting to do the things she's always secretly enjoyed but never had the guts to do. This MIL/SIL bonding has been the only natural and organic relationship on the show so far. Hope that continues.

9. Harshad's fugly hair - WHY?!

10. Why are they playing Ae Dil Hai Mushkil or Kal Ho Naa Ho in every other scene? Who the hell is choosing the music?! I love these two songs but they don't suit the story / arc.

11. Is this the first Ekta show where the leads have zero chemistry?! What happened to Ekta's touch? Whatever happened to developing the characters and story? Whatever happened to casting decent actors? All of them are so mediocre. This isn't Harshad's best acting either. Throwing in random romantic scenes does not equate to a story. What exactly is the story anyway?

I am just hanging on a little longer (I'm still in the July episodes) to know Rishabh's big little secret cum twist but I don't know how long I will last. Just had to rant because I decided to watch an ITV show after years because of the hype and to say I am disappointed is a huge huge understatement.

How did this girl remain single for 5 years?! Now I am doubting whether her ex even promised her anything. Maybe she assumed everything on her own. She called out the toxic guy in Episode 2 but is willing to step back on her promotion for this guy she just met? The writers have no idea about corporate culture do they? I would rather the guy backstabbed her by stealing her idea rather than this fake dating just to get her to step back.. i mean itna elaborate plan HAHAHAHAHA and does harshad i mean Rishabh have nothing else to do.. i find his obsession with his boss mam creepy like you just met her why are you so determined to make her happy? Go find a hobby dude and better - go get a freaking haircut. I can't take that hair of his. Which stylist thought it was a good idea?! And why is Harshad ok with looking like that when he is a decent looking dude?! More later.. thanks for this thread.

OMGGGGGGGGG HI! Which forum did we last interact on? It's been ages dude.

I don't think HC's acting is all that bad. It's just not as great as his other performances, but he's the best actor in the cast, at least for me.

It's weird I just made the frustration thread today and was almost on the verge of giving up on this show and then I got to a particular scene which kinda blew me away. I would have agreed with you on the FL's gullibility, but the scene made me re-evaluate it all. Or maybeI loved it so much I'm going to give the writers a benefit of the doubt and just see the older episodes as bad writing and move on.

(SPOILER AHEAD)

FL's confession scene. Can't believe I'm saying this, I absolutely loved the FL's confession scene. It made me forget the messiness of the plot, or lack of, and blew me away with its simplicity and how endearing it was. Shivangi also surprised me in that scene and I can see that she's improving. The next episode is going to have a twist with HC's character and I am looking forward to that.

The show might just be getting better, finally, so maybe try perservering on.

And yes - that hair needs to go. HC, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR HAIRSTYLE.

Bhagyashree is a woman glowing in love. I adore how she's become so confident and confesses her love so unbashedly, simple yet powerful. This man is gonna break her heart so bad. She doesn't deserve it, but once bitten, twice shy, and this woman just walked into the fire of love impulsively again. And as usual, the show is back to making little sense.

The ML is apparently damn rich and influential, and nobody has recognised him till now? Being a corporate head, doesn't the FL keep up with general knowledge and current affairs?

Why did Rishabh say he would sleep in the servant's quarters? HUH?! Aren't they on a honeymoon? And then he goes to play cards with the hotel employees, and finds himself a room in their quarters too?! I need to know which hotel in Mumbai they are staying at LOOOOL

The dad that he worships is in jail and all this while, he has been playing ghar ghar with the FL and her family? We've not seen him fish out any info or do anything substantial regarding his dad's case. Honestly the whole revenge plot is not at all convincing.. I'm back to loosing interest (which I gained for a split second HAHA)

Looks like we're back to the fake marriage expose with the doctor coming for the wedding - do the writers not have any other ideas?!

I think the story has been overly convoluted from the beginning and the writers definitely don't have the skills to pull it off. The song choice was terrible in the beginning, but has gotten a LOT better. The chemistry between the leads has also only gotten better, and as more stuff is revealed, their interactions in the past make more sense too.
