I had books shortlisted for Pride but ye exams ne aake saare June plans ulat pulat kar diye
I'll probably only end up reading some fics
Btw, turns out all you guys were wrong
I ended up finishing the historical fiction first and I loved it sm that I don't feel like getting back to the remaining 3, I just wanna read more historical fiction now 😭😭
But I'll probably get to the thriller or the romcom next

Haha...I thought you would read the historical fiction last.
Actually, I wrote what I myself would have done. If I were in your situation, I would have read the thriller first and then the magic realism. I have zero interest in historical fiction. But you're a different person with a different taste and that's why my assumption turned out to be wrong. Btw, what's the name of the historical fiction? You said you liked it very much. So, I'm curious.

Honestly, I'm also very suprised with this outcome
I also expected to finish the thriller or the magic realism first, but instead I just randomly felt like reading the historical fiction and ended up finishing it in one go. Like I said, my mood controls my reading entirely, I never know what I'm reading next
The book is The Night Divided by Jennifer A Nielsen. It's about a family that got divided by the construction of the Berlin Wall between east and west Germany during the Cold War. The protagonist is a twelve year old girl named Gerta, and the story gets told from her POV in first person. I love her sm. She's so fierce and brave, and in spite of every attempt made to dampen her spirit, she really never gives in. I loved the bond between her and her older brother Fritz. The story tells us about their life on the eastern side, how they're constantly controlled and suppressed and terrorised by the Soviet soldiers/Stasi, how they plan to escape and reunite with the other half of the family, and all the struggles and hardships that they face trying to attempt it. The story ends on a happy, optimistic note, but it is quite a poignant tale as well
Oh no no, I never rec dark fics, esp when you don't really dabble in fics at all. If you were asking for wholesome works I'd consider it, but for dark I'm keeping my mouth shut, sorry
All I will say is, ao3 does dark like nowhere else, bcz the authors aren't restricted by the usual rules of tradpubs/stores/platforms so they can just knock themselves out with the craziness.
If you ever fall in love with a fandom and wanna read fics from there, tab poochna, I'll try to give you recs. But if you prefer OG fiction and the novels make you happy, then there's no reason to wanna migrate elsewhere
Nah, I've heard of webnovel but never used it. My reading is limited to novels, ao3 and the occasional FF.net and tumblr. If I include anything else I'll go crazy
Why cant you rec me dark yaar, this comment made me more eager, you better rec me some now
Waise you can suggest me some TVD ones, especially DeLena, Stefan-Katherine, and the other doppelgangers
I also dont mind some MM or FF romance to read for pride month
