Sad to see the RC end in such a bitter way. I'll miss it. But I'm more sad about people's efforts being wasted.

Hinna, I truly understand the deep attachment, genuine effort, and passion every member carries for this BT RC contest. Let me think about it once more, so we can begin afresh and continue our forum’s passionate readers' desire, if you people really want it to be continued.Originally posted by: heavenlybliss

I want to thank you both for hosting the Book Talk challenge which was a breath of fresh air on IF, one of the rare thriving monthly threads after long..I was part of it for a while and surely it was one of the major reasons I started reading a lot more again. It was much needed in these times when everyone is doom scrolling.
The themes and badges were too good. Sad to see this go and kudos to your consistent efforts, it was mostly a well organised, creative activity.
Hi.. i want to join
After seeing the sustained interest shown by our reading members, and most importantly, because I truly appreciate the hard work of our graphicers, I don’t want their beautiful badges and tags to go unused, I have reconsidered my decision and decided to renew the Reading Challenge and Christmas Reads as well.
However, this continuation comes with a simpler format.
No teams and no captains this time. It is an individual effort to every reader.
Whoever wishes to participate, simply come forward and start reading.
Here is the link for page logs. Please make a post there and log your page counts regularly.
Your individual post will serve as your reading tracker.
The rules for earning layered badges and Christmas Reads remain the same.
Badges will be awarded strictly based on the total pages recorded in your post.
The special CR Badge, gifted by WildestDreams, will also be awarded to the CR readers.
I am continuing this RC & CR because members expressed genuine enthusiasm to keep reading, and I value that spirit deeply. After all, reading is one of the most revered and enriching activities for any individual or group. Let us move forward with clarity, understanding, and camaraderie.
Best wishes and happy reading to all!

Thanks a lot for reviving it - it's a very nice gesture and a good solution, I think
Nevertheless, I now have to skip as I will have so much family work from the weekend on (preparing Christmas and a family trip).
The idea of teams had been not bad but needs another kind of investment from your side. Now, it's just us and one person on the other side (you, I suppose - thanks for tagging me).
I listen to/read books nevertheless but the little spare time I'll have, I want to dedicate to the Bollywood part to write there.
Wish you all the best - for the rest of the year and beyond

Hmm chalo fine. I did say this was my last month of joining so I'll come back. Is there a Google Sheet as well?

If there are no teams and captains, and team totals to count, I feel it is better to post the books/ pages logs in the forum post itself.
