Green’s deal surpassed the Rs 24.75 crore paid for Mitchell Starc during the IPL 2024 auction, a figure that also involved KKR. The aggressive bidding reflected the premium placed on multi skill players who can influence all three phases of a T20 match.

Uncapped Indians Steal the Spotlight

While international stars commanded attention, the biggest story of the auction belonged to Indian uncapped players. Chennai Super Kings created history by signing Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma for Rs 14.20 crore each. These figures marked the highest salaries ever paid to uncapped players in IPL history.

Vignesh Puthur also went to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 30 lakh, while Sushant Mishra fetched Rs 90 lakh from the same franchise.
