Sunny Deol, reprising his iconic role as Major Kuldip Singh, was spotted wearing a turban and posing with co-stars Ahan Shetty and Varun Dhawan for the cameras at the Border 2 teaser launch in Mumbai on December 16.

Border 2, the sequel to JP Dutta's 1997 hit Border, is set to hit theaters in 2026.

Diljit Dosanjh’s controversy around Border 2

Diljit Dosanjh was reportedly almost removed from Border 2 due to objections from FWICE over his involvement with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3, but he remains part of the film. The controversy stemmed from FWICE's concerns, but they later lifted their ban, allowing Dosanjh to continue.

Reports emerged that Punjabi actor Ammy Virk could replace Diljit Dosanjh in Border 2, but Ammy's team has denied these rumors, stating they're baseless and there's no truth to them.
