Your vellipana gives me some awesome, dependable company whenever I get here so I'm never complaining about that smiley37smiley42

But no, I was mostly relying on the fact ki aise silly cheezein jo mere dimaag mein aate hai, your dimaag usually ends up participating too smiley39smiley37

I have 4 books lying in various stages of completion rn, all completely different genres smiley36 I would've finished them all by now if I wasn't so short on time, but I'm definitely gonna finish them by the month's end.

A thriller, a romcom, a magic realism, and a historical fiction. Those are the options smiley36 I'm very fickle minded when it comes to books so it may well be any of them that I finish first smiley39

Any guesses? smiley17

I think you may end up reading the thriller first.

Reasons:

1) Many thrillers are fast paced and this characteristic makes them engaging.

2) A lot of thrillers are page-turners. Readers think, "What will happen next?" So, I think you'll complete reading the thriller much faster than a historical fiction.

3) Some thrillers provide us an opportunity to get an idea about the psychology or the perspectives of dark or morally complex characters. It makes those thrillers very interesting. On the other hand, you won't always find this type of characters in romantic comedies, historical novels and magic realism. If even you find dark characters in a these books, you won't be able to delve into the psychology of those characters.

4) Some good thrillers give readers a chance to feel various types of emotions such as empathy, anger, curiosity, disgust, sadness, and so on. Reading a good thriller is like a roller coaster ride.

Magic realism is also an interesting genre. If you read a thriller first, you may read magic realism next.

Lizzie and Hinna, I'm sorry. Even though I expressed interest in buddy-reading God of Fury with you, I think I won't be able to do that. I intend to read 3 queer books, 1 unfinished book of May and 1 or 2 non-queer books in June. So, it will be very difficult for me to read a long novel like God of Fury along with 4 or 5 other books. Yes, I wanted to join at first. But then I thought about it a lot and realised it would be so many pages for me. I don't want pressurise myself. Please don't mind. I hope both of you enjoy reading God of Fury.

you won’t believe I’m having the exact same issue with 3 books. Shelved a romance, picked up another romcom, and reading a thriller too. But not invested in any of them. Don’t want to DNF them all so just shuffling between them right now smiley36

I think you’ll read the romcom first smiley36 (even if you don’t now you will cos you gotta make my prediction right .. wink, wink, nudge, nudge smiley36)

And I think you’ll read the thriller last cos lbr if it wasn’t a dud you’d have finished it long before now. smiley14

I’m now curious to know what books you’re reading 😀

No Lizzie, they're actually all good 😅 So far I love all of them and unless something changes ahead, I'd rec them smiley27 I really am limited bcz of time, bcz I know if I sit down to read rn I'll just keep reading and not wanna get up, so I'm trying to finish the important stuff first so I actually have the time to sit down and enjoy them 😅 it's why I'm sure I'll definitely finish all of them by this month, bcz I won't hold them off any longer than that smiley36

The thriller is great too. It's a serial killer whodunit with well-kept suspense. I've just kept it on hold bcz I don't want it to finish 🙈 I tend to do that sometimes, I don't want good books/series/movies to come to an end, so I try to prolong them as much as possible 😅 rn it's a battle of me wanting to prolong it vs me wanting to know the truth of the story. I'm not sure who's gonna win smiley37

The books are all in the excel sheet, but I won't tell you which is which genre smiley15 only after I finish smiley36
