So today the contestants are recreating something that’s their strength with a new technique.
1. Faisu - ghevar and charcoal. I think his idea of making a savoury dish is interesting. He’s making a chicken mousse with ghevar. It may sound strange to many, but to me it’s an interesting concept. Looking forward to it.
2. Nikki got chicken and dehydration - she’s making some Khandeshi style chicken and making sabudana papad. I don’t see any innovation at all. Oh and she’s making thecha as well.
3. Gaurav got blueberry cheesecake and a siphon gun. Don’t know why he said he hasn’t used a siphon gun, when all of them used it during Chef Manu Chandra’s challenge. He’s making a blueberry cheesecake foam and he’s also making a beetroot shard using dehydration.
4. Rajiv got mohanthal and frosting. He’s making a three tiered cake and mohanthal will be one of the fillings. I just think it sounds very heavy. Hoping he pulls it off well.
5. Tejaswi got dried shrimps and emulsification. She’s never used dried shrimps, so she has a rough challenge. She’s making pithla, bhakri, pickled onions, and some prawns with dried shrimp coating.
