So, I watched today’s episode after seeing edits of KR scene in my IG feed. Oh my! Kathir consoled Raji after the slave driver Pandian’s outburst on Meena and Raji Kathir mustered courage to touch Raji’s hand to console but his hands were shaking though. Raji did not notice or pay attention as she was in too much sorrow. Kathir also sat next to her on the bed and not in the chair which I would say is also a great improvement. His comforting and soothing words to Raji really resonated with me. Hope their relationship continues to grow and to lighten up the mode in the upcoming episodes, I want Kathir to bring up “ FLAMES” topic

@Cosmo-girl, I am glad Kathir consoled Raji like we all wanted and the gap between them is slowly narrowing down. But I want him to question that idiot, Pandian yet again like Senthil did.

As for the tyrant, would he have teacyed the same way if it had been Kuzhali or Arasi who had done something like this? The spineless idiot didn’t have the guts to question Kuzhaliwjen she was insulting Meena and Raji throughout Saravansn’s wedding. So it is clear that he never considered Meena and Raji to be his own family since their marriage was not a conventional one, always waiting for a chance to insult them as opposed to how he treats TM. When he gets to know KR marriage truth and how Gomathiis the main culprit, is he ready to die of shame for all the things he said about Kathir?

Yup, totally unexpected but it was nice to see Kathir consoling Raji. I like this progress. Yes, he has to bring up that FLAMES.

Today's Hotstar description was that Senthil got angry with Pandian, but where was the anger? All he said asked was "Why did you talk to Meena that way?" Pandian answered him angrily and all he did was put his head down and then go to deliver the goods. I do want Kathir to give back nicely but seems like tomorrow's episode will have an argument between them but for a different reason.

Not once has he screamed at Kuzhali or Arasi, even in situations where Kuzhali needed someone screaming at her nonsense. Such an infuriating character! I hate him, I know they will whitewash him later, but I hate him for demeaning those who do not listen to everything he says, especially Palani and Kathir.

So, it is not okay for Meena to get snacks or Kathir to get parotta, but it is okay for Pandian to get adharasam and samosas. Bloody Mayil! Hope she rots. I hate the acting and the character.

What a horrible episode today! You hell at those girls and later get snacks to pacify them to justify your actions. Pandian must be The Worst character written in a TV show. He is fake, a hypocrite, a narcissist, a megalomaniac, a douchebag/scumbag for behaving badly with women, an emotional manipulator, a tyrant and a control freak. The audacity with which the writers are justifying his character is APPALLING

Senthil will continue to be a spineless idiot. Gomathiis a useless Mother and MIL who only cares about herself and how good she is. The woman has no maturity considering her age.

As for TM she turned the tables and pretended as though she is innocent and cheap tricks she used for attention seeking when Pandian was talking about Meena and Raji. She kept asking Saravanan why shpuld they seek permission from Pandian to go somewhere. So Meena and Raji has yo say everything to Pandian and not hide anything but this rule doesn’t apply to her. What a fake person she is! No wonder she gels with Pandian because both ate Two-Faced🤮🤮 Ivanga permission ketka maatangalam, aana mathavamga ellarum adimaiyattum permission kekanumaa? Idhu enna nyayam.

This show has become toxic, full pf negativity and setting a bad example by showing a father like Pandian and justifying his despicable behavior. It is also promoting all kinds of abuse, harassment , mistreatment, mishandling, emotional manipulation.

Kathir advised Raji to keep quiet and adjust in the family because that’s how it is and will continue to be ruled by a dictator. How do you promote such a thing in this day and age? Why can’t they characters standing up against Pandian. Except Kathir and sometimes Palanivel no one does it They are also showing women in this show lacking SELF RESPECT, big time. Not one of them has it and every major scene ends in comedy.

I am just fed up of all this abuse and harassment and justifying it in the name of fatherly and family love, Do the writers realize that such things only lead to mental illness in reality. It looks the writers are some uneducated, ignorant, stupid putting together a toxic story for ratings enjoyed by those who have nothing to do in their lives. Except for KR nothing is good in this show. I am so happy that I don’t contribute to the ratings at all and will watch if I feel like it ir else skip left, right and center.

This was recommended by Youtube. First time watching this guy and his channel. In this video he has analyzed Shalini and her life including her marriage. This is like Shalini’s biography. I don’t know how this guy found so much information about Shalini and her husband Many in Youtube have so much time in hand making all kinds of videos I wish I had this much time to analyze someone else’s life

Ayyayo, ippo backstory ah? Periya legendary story like Kalki's ah? Let's see what Pandian will spew about why he treats Kathir badly. Kann yellam kalangi enna solla poraru nu paakalaam.

a: Cannot say thavam irundhu petha kozhandhe because there are 3 kids born before Kathir

b: Cannot say ore magan because there are two sons before Kathir

c: Cannot say some congenital disease because whether the disease will kill Kathir or not, Pandian sure will

d: Cannot say Kathir almost died at childbirth because being born did not kill Kathir but being born as Pandian's son will surely kill him

e: Cannot say adopted kid because it is the worst-case scenario ever

No matter what, Pandian cannot justify his harsh treatment of Kathir for any reason. The only thing he can say is that he wanted a daughter but got a son so he does not like Kathir but loves the next child ie a daughter, and dotes on her.

Oh, I forgot to add why the above reasons won't work.

Pandian will anyway say that he loves Kathir the most and that is why he is strict with him. These reasons as to why he loves Kathir the most do not suit the current scenario.

Also, in today's episode when Palani tried to tell Pandian is the one who forced Kathir to work, Pandian did not accept it. Dismissed it by saying now he is the one who is telling Kathir to no longer work outside but at his store. He won't forgive others for saying wrong things but when he says wrong things, he will justify. Only Senthil had the correct answer to Pandian's statement but sadly it was his mind's voice.

Randomly remembered this - Raji's dressing. Her kurti tops are nice but the beige, white, and black leggings+dupatta are last decade. The dress that supposedly Kathir bought, and the green version that she wore in yesterday's episode also do not suit her. I hope she or her stylist/husband/MIL, whoever is in charge of her dresses, pays attention to her clothing style.

I remember Chitra wore the best saris in S1. Except for 3-4 saris which were OTT, her selection was fantastic and suited her very well.

Coming to Toxic Stores (oh yess, decided it is the best name for this season), let me just say Pandian is the biggest Basta*d out there in Tamil television. I mean, I never thought I would detest watching a negative character in a tv show. I usually love negative characters. For eg, Shanti Williams in Metti Oli is one of my fav and the actress was class apart! But this guy, his shitty attitude towards Kathir, and on top of it, Stalin's half swallowed dialogue deliveries make him look so fuc*ing stupid and dumb onscreen. Writers trying to whitewash him by making Raji sprout dialogues on his so called affection for the family is pukeworthy at its best.

And I still keep wondering what made Nirosha take up such a pathetic role. Is the money just too good to refuse this shit?

Raji should either be clear on working or should just stop trying AT ALL. She is only making things difficult for herself and people around her, esp Kathir. Once bitten, twice shy, is what they say. She was plain stupid to take up that tuition again before seeking permission from Pandian. Her half baked attempts make her look like a fool. All she does is cry cry and cry. She can never stand up for Kathir infront of Pandian. Period.

But Kathirrrr.. mahnn.. that guy has spine! And he is definitely husband goals for someone who keeps saying kadamai, kattupaadu etc. Him pacifying Raji was so lovely. Him nervously touching her hand was Him being so cute when he said he would speak to her four times a day! I just hope and hope he never gives up on his job. That way I will assume he has the spine of Steel!

Now, coming to these actors participating in reality shows, I was actually surprised seeing Akash Shalini participate together in a reality show. Never thought they would go for it. There was a flood of their edits on Insta as soon as I logged in. It is illegal that these two look so good together on the camera! The long gone teen in me is soo loving it! I did not watch the episode, but is it good?

@Cosmo-girl, I took my parents to watch Kalki and trust me, it was a fatal mistake. I will never hear the end of it from them. I am sorry to burst your bubble, but the movie is irrational. They have copied everything from sci-fi Hollywood movies and OG version is still a lot lot better. And Deepika coming out of the fire is straight out of GoT. But what put me off the most was the shoddy version of Voldemort that they tried to recreate for the villain. I mean, Voldemort is the GOAT villain character for me personally and I lovee him, but watching this desi version of him made me want to pull my hair and scream out! Only saving grace was Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama who kept me going through that 180 minutes of madness. Although, they could have opted for some other actor as a younger version of Ashwatthama instead of using CGI. The mythological part was fairly good. But it will again lead to that never ending debate of who is the GOA in Mahabharat apart from Krishna. And reading though those debates is where the real fun is.

Also, Prabhas just can't act. Period.

I did say the mythological part was good. The futuristic past was too much Star Wars-esque and a bunch of other sci-fi movies. But, this is what you can show as a future dystopian society. Just that Hollywood as usual is faster at presenting such plots than India.

I liked the backstory and the flashback because a) it is connected to Kalki Purana, and b) it is connected to the Mahabharatha. That arc is interesting, especially the Karna-Arjuna arc (fav characters in MB), though I do not get why Karna is shown. It would have made more sense to show Parashurama since he is supposed to be a Chiranjeevi and originally had the Vijaya Dhanush. Who knows what Nagu has planned for the sequel?

The battle with the mythological weapons was better than the futuristic tech guns/weaponry. Ashwatthama's character was great, and AB did justice to it. Yes, young AB looked bad, maybe they should have taken AB Jr for the role.

Kali is desi Voldemort ah? Indian thatha ku idhu thevaya? But, you are right, it is so similar to Voldemort trying to regain his body.

DP's fire scene is similar to GoT but there are such stories in Indian mythology as well. Like Sita's Agni Pariksha or Pravesha (the debate is ongoing) where you have a strong female character proving that fire cannot touch her. Yeah, the movie is heavily inspired by other works, which is why I felt the mythological part was authentic and better.

What is GOA?

I liked Prabhas as Karna, not a fan of his Bhairava character or how he looks now. He peaked with Bahubali, but he kinda suits such roles. Disha was a waste and a distraction. The funny part was when I saw Devarakonda (do not like him) as Arjuna, I was like "Kill him Karna, kill him and rewrite MB."

I did a lot of thinking and came up with multiple choice reasons aana Pandian assalt ah Kathir ku kolupu nu sollitaru. Oru dedicated audience member karthu ku madhipe ille.

Gomathi is useless! Neethane ma elladhukum karanam. Chumma side le azhure drama panname, unga purushan ne naal kelvi narukkunu ketirkanum. Instead of that, she was crying as if Pandian slapped her. At least the brothers had the sense to console Kathir instead of tending to Gomathi.

It was funny when after Kathir said no to accompanying Saravana to his workplace, Senthil asked whether he would accompany him. Yenga, Pandian Stores ka? Vaangune are podhadhu nu ange poi Kathirum Senthilum sendhu innum rendu are vaangava?

But what made me truly happy was one comment on IG that said "Thanga Maiyru, nee onnum pudunge vendam" I hope the writers realize how much people hate this character.
