Asur season 2 is so good. It is fast paced, well acted and well written. Season 2 is also infinitely better than season 1 in terms of story telling. Saw a lot of parallels between Light Yagami and Shubh with the delusional new world order and trying to play god. Especially the final confrontation scene between Shubh and DJ was reminiscent of the end of Light Yagami. The likes of Ayan should learn from OTT directors and writers how to incorporate mythology to make compelling storylines. Bramhastra was an embarrassment.
I have a question. So Nikhil and pretty much all of the CBI in the show blame DJ for Shubh turning into a monster. Like, if DJ hadn't forged the evidence and changed his age, Shubh would have been sent to Juvenile Detention Center and would have started that delusional mission. As I understand, Shubh was for gone. Even if I DJ hadn't forged the evidence, Shubh's path into insanity was predetermined. He would have killed people one way or other. We see him killing his grandfather, the only person who ever loved him, due to his philosophy about death. So what was that whole point? I was just annoyed by the whole premise. I get that they were trying something with how intelligence bureaus was susceptible to forging evidence but that narrative with Shubh was dead wrong. What do you all think?
