Gadar 2 Sees Phenomenal Response At National Chains Also - OMG2 Decent

Gadar 2 advance which opened on Sunday at certain properties and opened to a huge response finally opened the counters at national chains and the response was no different. The shows were loaded up yesterday evening and at the time of writing it will be hitting 10k sales for Friday ad it is more than a week away from release.
The advance of Oh My God 2 opened before Gadar 2 in the national chains but it took Gadar 2 30 minutes to race ahead of Oh My God 2 which had opened 6-7 hours before. It has to be noted that the response to Oh My God 2 is also pretty decent but it will look small in front of the juggernaut of Gadar 2.
The film industry has generally been seeing poor Fridays mainly due to content having little appeal for the masses but that is going to all change next Friday (Aug 11th) as Gadar 2 flies out of the traps due to the iconic value of Gadar (2001) and a superbly cut trailer in terms of mass appeal.
It could turn out even better for the film industry as Oh My God 2 may well play a decent supporting role and do well in its own way if the advances of this film keep moving like they have started. the industry hit its lowest point exactly one year back with the release of Lal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan but it could its going to be the very opposite this year. Actually it WILL be the opposite and finally it can be said that THEATRICAL is truly back for Hindi cinema.
