Murtu fell inlove with her the moment he recognized how her parents were pulled away from her. Her dreams were crushed. It hit him as his were because of duty. He sympathized with her. Because he saw himself in her.

I think to some extent he was always attracted to her.

But he ignored it. He never says no to anyone besides ma begam.

When he asks her why she said yes. And he says stop crying. And walks out.

I think growing up she misunderstood him. He probably never explained himself to her. He just did whatever he wanted.

He probably looked out for her and protected her but she probably assumed otherwise.

When he starts looking at her with heart eyes. I am about 99 percent sure she noticed it. Because she would say very indicative stuff.

She stopped believing in love because her parents traumatized her.

But after his confession I believe she fell inlove with him.

Because she starts looking at him with open heart eyes.

I wish rather than the entire separation she went back to win him over. After what she did with marium.

She would earn his forgiveness and prove her love for him.

I wish she made him feel safe. Gave him the love he wanted. Won his trust back.

Or reached a point where she thought she wouldn't than left. And then their could have been a small separation.

One of the things we discussed then was that she would slap Haya and tell MK she trusts him and woos him but it turned into something else completely that we are still discussing what happened in the room and scratching our heads about how a love story became a horror story🤣

IMO Meerab isn't definitely a person who'd go back to murtasim for the sake of her daughter, because she's self centered enough to think and live in her own trauma and victimhood mentality.

Every time looking at meesam she could think of murtasim which means she's been longing for him and realised when she confessed to Saba that she indeed ❤️ murtasim more than he does.

Even if it's MR she'd gone back to murtasim only because she wanted to be with him. Her gripe about their consummation can be that how murtasim didn't let her initiate or make the first move(if it's MR)

Meerab is a changed woman. She’s beaten down. She is “domesticated” now. She was “wild” before. (Nooran logic). Mommyhood has mellowed her further. This new Meerab doesn’t have akad/ego and maybe not as much self-respect either. The old Meerub would’ve refused to answer MB twice on whose kid this is. She would’ve said I don’t owe you any answers and I will only tell Murtasim.

Also- yes, maybe Meerab returned for herself and for her own love and not Meesam but it doesn’t change anything much and it worsens the plot even further because….

They have romanticized MR. They have now said it is a forgivable offense. What if Malik raped Meerub? Would the writer make her forgive him? No. But in Nooran’s twisted logic once in love you forgive all offenses.

I don’t have a problem with Meerab loving Murtasim. I have a problem with her coming back after rape. Toxic Nooran said (in her interview with Rabia) that she wrote this story for those women who are stuck in their daily grind and need an escape. What an escape, Nooran. Most realities are better than what she intended to show.

They could’ve ended the show with Meerab saying “tum se mohabbat karti hoon par tumhe maaf nahi kar sakti. Tumne muhafiz ban kar doosron se to meri hifazat ki par khud se na karsake. Mein door se hi mohabbat kar loongi tumse. Meri izzat e nafs ko yehi gawara hai. Khudahafiz”

I still can’t reconcile this if it was MR. Wahaj even said, when he was in last stage of filming, that Murtasim was logical. I’m not sure about over the culture there, but MR is not logical nor should it be viewed as any bit naturally logical. So that’s why I’m still straying towards no MR.

I feel that Wahaj and Yumna have more sense than to call an MRist husband logical and not grey in this day and age. Yumna lives in the United states part time - MR is absolutely shunned here, there is no in between, although I’m sure it definitely happens. She would definitely know not to call an MRist a non- grey character. She would get crucified by that statement here. Those interviews were during the filming of the last episodes… even if not totally in sequence, at that point they would have known about MR.

Damage control. Basically they white washed Murtasim because TB mania was peaking at the time. Could they have been truthful and said anything negative? No. Wahaj said he tried to make Murtasim non-toxic. What I infer from that is Murtasim was written in a toxic way and he steered away as much as he could.

Nooran did say in a written interview that the script demanded MR. I take her word for it at this point in light of how the show ended and how Murtasim apologized. KMK behaved like a beggar. He apologized on his knees and with hands folded. The great KMK did that, Only extreme guilt would do that to him. Haya hugging him will not induce such guilt. M having raped Me will.
