Mili, it's terrible when I lag behind for the eps. Moreover, it's the holidays season. Maybe you guys already had this discussion. I was moved by 2 scenes. One when the MIL came to visit Aarav, and second when Aarav had the nightmare and had fever. I know that there are medical inconsistencies in the show, and some things really defy logic. But if the makers can give me such scenes, I am ready to overlook the flaws. It is very rare that we get scenes which feel real. The show does have its dose of drama but they don't go over the top. I understood Viaan firing the lady who came on to him, and him snapping at Katha. Although there may be some loopholes in the story, I do feel that there is a consistency in the characters and the storyline. They are connecting everything beautifully. At least, they are not showing forced or in your face chemistry between the leads. It is all being done very subtly. Other scenes which have stayed with me are:

- The leads walking in the rain at night. Both alone with their issues and pain. I haven't seen the original but my assumption is that both will heal each other, and walk together at a future point.

- I loved Katha's dialogues in her initial pitch, and the way Viaan was captivated by what she was saying. He even uses her lines with Abdali🤣

- I also love the following scene. He notices that something is up with her. Does he mistrust her here or is it something else? Why does he get up to watch her walk away?

This is a new show, but we already have so many scenes which stay with us. I am rooting for these characters. I dare not read spoilers as I hope that Aarav will be fine. What a fine child actor! It's been ages since I saw one on TV. I am tired of kids mouthing adult lines and being so clever. Finally, we are seeing a normal child who has normal wants and wishes, who goofs up, and we also see his fear. What does a child really know about death? I love the bond between the mother and son.

I love the 2 friends in the show, Ehshaan(?) and Rewa. The latter had a lead role in her previous show. I was surprised to see her doing this role but I am pleased to see her in this show. I absolutely love the casting of this show. Falguni, Abdali....can this show be different and give us some peaks in the lives of these characters? I know it will be asking too much to have proper tracks for such great characters but I can be hopeful.

Basically, I love this show and I am excited to see where it takes us. Since it's on Sony, I am hopeful that they won't mess it up.

The scenes you mentioned....i loved them too. And yes, the show has only 10 episodes till now, and I've already watched some scenes so many times! The MIL one was my fav🥺🥺 I love the cast and you are soo right about Aarav! He's great!! Both the actor and the character❤️ I'm already looking forward to Aarav- Viaan moments

In this scene, where he noticed that something is up with her, I first thought that he has a doubt. But maybe he's intrigued/ concerned( I'd like to believe this😆)

The scenes you mention are really well made and acted.I am really liking the child actor.He majestic me emotional.Dadi scenes were so emotional.I literally was emotional watching that sdene and also the dream sequence.The show is really good and we all can look forward to something worthwhile

I think all of us will have a tough time with next week's episodes.😭 But i am sure we all will agree with Katha's decision.

finally got around to seeing the last episode and just some thoughts:

so how do you handle disappointment? how do you handle shame? it is interesting to see two men of different generations grapple with this issue and how those who surround them dismiss it as just ego. however, for these two men, it is not ego. it is about deeply hurt feelings and their inability to let go of the incident and how it had affected them. they are not able to reflect and look at it from different angles and perspectives. they are unable to hear others view on the same incident. so they are stuck in that time when those events occurred and they still feel the same way when it happened.

so what happens -- they are isolated. for viaan, he is not approachable and even ishaan and jeetu bhai have to think twice. no one wants to bell the cat. with papaG, mamaG thinks he is heartless and he hurts when he says "do you think father's heart is made of stone?". mamaG and papaG's interactions were interesting to watch; I was thinking that they have a skewed power dynamic based on the inital episodes but it is lot more complicated than that. mamaG has a voice, opinion and she does share her thoughts and feelings. she is not scared of papaG nor afraid to tell him what he needs to hear. however, he is unwilling to listen and that creates a distance between the two of them -- something of his own making though he doesn't realize it.

really enjoyed watching the parallels of these two men from different generations. am curious to see if we will see similar scenes edited in the same episode further on as well. basically how two rather empathetic women deal with very stubborn men.

P.S -- but on painting side, I am going to go with papaG's choice over viaan's ghoul. 🤣 see pic and post in heritage thread. 😆

so am enjoying viaan -- he comes across to me not as a prick or a difficult egoistic person but rather someone with a hard outer shell but a very soft heart. this means he goes out of his way to protect himself and this displays in anger and pushback. rather like the way adnan is portraying him because you can sense a bit of vulnerability behind him lashing out.

also rather than just painting all women as black, his anger basically extends to all who cross him, disappoint him. he is still mad and frustrated at his father and it hurts him to see his mom still ache from those hurts. basically he needs to find better ways to process and realize that people disappointing him is going to be a lifelong journey. so it will be interesting to see his growth as a character.

it makes for a good change of ML compared to some of the other dramas out there where the men are so freaking indecisive and such wimps. I will take pigheadedness over yo-yo ML any day. 🤣 at least viaan is a man who knows his mind and won't budge.

am also a fan of complex love stories rather than folks just falling in love with each other rather randomly. lets have those push-pull that has a strong emotional component. lets have character growth, flaws and bad decision making. a good love story that is memorable is one that has both characters changing for the better.

I will be back in full form from tom onwards. Anywz this weeks episodes are gonna very emotional and intense. Most of us will have different opinions about ONS proposal acceptance by Katha. I hope we will have a healthy discussion here. Bas maara mari naa ho.😆 Just kidding.
