Nobody invites Random poor strangers to their birthday parties. Sonam invited Ranveer because they knew each other. They are cousins.

But they are not close, I didnt say they are strangers, but sonam herself has indicated she isnt close to rs, sonam said she thinks he is her third or fourth cousin, she wasn't even exactly sure. Arjun and mohit are like brothers to her

Dude is a huge whiner. I mean, consider his advantages.

1. He had connection. Maybe Sonam and gang weren't super helpful. But as Sid C said, getting that foot in the door is success for genuine outsiders.

2. He has a dad who could and did pay a mega production house for his debut.

3. He got one of major female stars of his generation as girlfriend, then wife.

4. So he missed out on Bombay Velvet. But he got peeps like SLB and Rohit Shetty working with him, who constantly churn out hits.

Struggle is what Ayushman, Sushant, Rajkumar, and Karthik went through. If Ranveer's PR had any sense, he'd show gratitude for his lucky breaks instead of whining about non existent struggle.

I have a little more sympathy for his wife. She did have some contact I assume from her modeling days. Still that was her own hard work. Not Prakash Padukone's money funding Om Shanti Om. She also got a bit maligned by the coterie of her ex, but she smartly turned it around and used it to her advantage. But she, too, has not faced rejection like a Tripti before finally making it.

I don’t know.. They didn’t even mention him in School books. And Gujarati medium schools sure weren’t much on Sports forget athletes. You could be right about system not being fair to him.

There is absolutely no proof that ranveers dad paid Yash raj for his debut, not a single source from yrf or ex employee from yrf has said this, no industry person has said it. Just because his dad is rich it doesn’t mean he could twist adi chopras arm to get him a debut

Ranveer was even auditioning for supporting and side roles before his debut, Nikhil advani revealed that ranveer auditioned for akshays brothers role in patiala house. Nikhil said he gave the audition because nothing else was happening for him. Industry people have spoken about ranveers struggle period. If it was so easy for his dad to pay for him to get a big role from a big production house, then why would he be auditioning for side roles?
