Ranveer was actually a struggling junior artist as a child. And i thought AK could see into the future, so he just got this boy to the party who he knew would be a great actor (unlike Sonu) and famous (unlike) Harsh and planned on adapting him so that he didn't have to have an Arjun Kapoor in his succession line. But Veeru only wanted vacays in Goa, coz USA is so overrated and said no.

Nothing about Ranveer comes across as authentic and genuine. It's all for show. He is always acting. I think it's his defense mechanism to hide his vulnerabilities and private life/thoughts. He puts on a facade for the public.

Unfortunately for him, and he hasn't realized this yet, is that it makes it impossible to connect to him. Who even knows the real Ranveer, the actual person behind an overly curated image? Everything he says seems disingenuous because I don't know who he is and what his actual ideas/opinions are. Is what he's saying heartfelt or just a calculated attempt at people pleasing?

I wonder if he'll ever realize the disconnect or if he even cares. Will he ever get tired of keeping up with an image.

What once felt like refreshing energy and a go getter attitude now just feels like a faded cutout desperate for the limelight. It is almost sad to see that in all these years there has been no personality curve of Ranveer that we got to witness. Like a member here has mentioned, everything about him screams artificial.

On the other hand even someone like Kartik has shown immense growth in personality as to how he has been conducting himself through controversies and successful ventures.

Wasn't he crying on receiving Superstar Of the Decade award in Dubai sometimes back in November?

He cried while recalling his struggling days and thanked his father for arranging 50 grands to make his portfolio when he didn't have any money.

He even cried on receiving Filmfare Awards for best actor before that, sometimes back in September.
