@TM Gudthuthi is typical gujarati household custom and allowed by doctors. We can use vitamin d3 baby drops as gudthuthi so no need of harmful jaggery/sugar etc. It’s just about who offers something to baby for the very first time.

Being gujarati , in my case my husband had given vitamin d3 drops to fulfill our gudthuthi ritual. I have always wished ki mera baccha mere husband jaise bane so it was my dream to give him gudthuthi by his papa😇

And yes just after giving birth , we did skin to skin in operation theatre and I had given him few drops of breast milk in operation theatre only before they took my baby out to show eagerly waiting family members.

It’s all about how you are performing gudthuthi ritual.

I told you right. HT is full of either RG/Anupamaa fans or GK/Anuj fans or MaAn fans. There are some SH member fans as well. They do not care as long as they are served what they want.

I am amazed at how people go to lengths on defending these characters. In my opinion, none of the characters in this show is defendable. Not a single one. Each one of them is a hypocrite. Mind you I am just saying characters. Don't take it for actors

Ok how difficult is this to underdtand? This is SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN to be DANGEROUS to kids. You want the death of babies on your hands? Babies DIE if fed honey. What has dead babies to do with telescopes and television?

Also honey is dangerous and paediatric says no for honey as a part of daily and frequent usage for infant.
I have never read any papers who says a drop of honey for once in a year can kill infant !

One Drop of honey for once in a year can’t kill infant. Seems like all are talking about normal daily/frequent usage of honey for infant jiske liye paediatrician strictly no bolte hai.

Since your tone is not aggressive, I will revert to you here. A drop of honey to a one day old baby who has not had any vaccines is dangerous, evwn fatal. During pandemic, if mother had covid, there had to be a special surgery done to protect the baby, also the skin-to-skin was avoided. Simply because the baby has no immunity to any of the known diseases.

Also the problem is not if Vit D drops are given to baby in the name of the ritual. Yes the baby is allowed to take medicine like gripe water, antibiotics and vitamins apart from mother's milk if necessary. But it should have been specified in the show that in old times honey was given which was not fatal but now we are giving a medicine to ensure ritual is fulfilled without endangering the baby. Who will confirm it was sweet medicine and not honey??

One more very important thing is that all rituals aside, the mother's first milk is what the baby should have drunk before ANYTHING else, even if it was Vit D drops or any other medicine, unless the mother is not able to produce milk due to some reason. If any ritual is negating this, it should not be followed and I am saying this at the risk of offending any religious customs that exist these days.

If makers are showing this without projecting that breastmilk is most important, they're being Socially Irresponsible PERIOD!!
