Just one question: Are these laws applicable to fictional shows? I don't think so. Bachcha toh eventually Sai ke paas hi aayega but Patralekha will continue to jamao haq
There’s a separate subject in law schools “interpretation of statuses” like how you interpret the law while giving judgements..!! You can’t file a case against Virat Chavan for doing something illegal because he’s not a real person, but you may definitely prosecute Sitara, kauwa murga, Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh, and Aishwarya Sharma for being a part/ actively participating of/in something that provocative and triggering the masses. The act and its provisions can be used to raise a complaint to the IBF and BCCC or file a PIL stating “ a law enforcement officer is shown taking law in his hands, which is sending a wrong message to the audience in the name of fiction” the mere fact that a surrogacy order concerning the custody of the child has to be obtained before the procedure is proof enough that the entire thing with Pakhi being the surrogate is and will always be illegal. On top of it he’s saying that he won’t let his wife the biological mother to get the surrogate’s sign as well stating she’s his “Pyari Cheez cum family member”. Also, if it were some normal civilian like “ ABZ” who allowed some KBAGBA to become the surrogate of his child instead of the woman that “EFC” selected would also be illegal, but won’t cause so much outrage coz he’s a civilian and not a police officer! Media and entertainment industry can’t just shove anything in the name of fiction..!! Especially when a lot of people are watching it including people outside india!
