Singer Sonu Nigam to be conferred with prestigious Padma Shri Award

The Government of India today(January 25) announced the list of recipients of the Padma awards- one of the highest civilian awards of the country. Bollywood's popular playback singer Sonu Nigam will be honoured with Padma Shri along with Olympic gold-medallist Neeraj Chopra.

Reward for not only his singing but also his rants on social media as per ideology of ruling govt.

The day he posted that Twitter rant against azaan and videos on Pulwama attack, attended a pro CAA event, it was evident he will get sarkari awards.

Sonu is also one of earliest ones to demand ban on Pak singers in India and rant against Pak artistes in India.

So this award by BJP govt was a given.

I am surprised Abhijeet got no award despite crossing even more limits in interviews and social media rants. He must have got more frustrated today ki chaatukarita ke baad bhi kuch ni mila.
