Wow I didn't know about that, now I'm disappointed in Sonu..another celebrity joining the bhakt bandwagon..if people won't speak up against BJP and bigotry at least shut up and don't openly support it!

Sonu was the only singer faced bomb blast in 2004 karachi concert in Pakistan , still never spoke against Pakistan anywhere

Not supporting Pakistan's shitty extreme government is obviously fine and good. My problem is more with him apparently ranting about the Azan, attending pro CAA protests etc. (thats more against Indian muslims which is the real problem)

More than azan it was for use of loudspeakers at early morning and he did mentioned gurdwaras and temples too azan was just highlighted and its right to speak for what he consider wrong, and loudspeaker azan is an issue here in Pakistan a muslim country too, A district commissioner given the notification not to make azan on loudspeakers during the morning time,

And secondly yogya aditynat or who ever are the rulers for bjp meeting them doesn't define any anti Muslim agenda, even udit narayan meet yogi and had sung a song for modi which is called "Modi Ane Wala Hai" so what does it depict ?... Can we say that in 2014 udit narayan sang for BJP the promotional song called Modi Aane Wala Hai and was rewarded padma bhusan during BJP tenure 🤣... its almost like saying that modi meet nawaz shariff so modi is pro pakistan lol,

and regarding CAA thing during 2020 he just spoke to postpone CAA protest amid coronavirus , so whats so shocking in it?

Sonu Nigam urges Swara Bhasker, Anurag Kashyap to request Shaheen Bagh protesters to halt protests

Sonu Nigam has urged the Shaheen Bagh protesters to halt their protests as large gathering might risk and expose them to the deadly coronavirus pandemic. Speaking through a live video on Facebook, he said, “I fold my hands to the Shaheeh Bagh protesters, including the mothers and sister over there. Jaan rahegi toh awaaz rahegi [There will be a voice only if there is life]. You have your families who are praying for your safety. You can get affected and because of you, they too can.”

Nigam specifically mentioned those film stars and a politician who have supported the protesters in their fight against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).

“I would like to request, Swara Bhasker ji, Anurag Kashyap ji, [Assaduddin] Owaisi sahab and all those who have joined hand-in-hands with the Shaheen Bagh protestors. Political difference is obvious. But right now the issue has gone beyond that. Currently the issue is about the society and humanity. They listen to your voice. I request you to ask them to at least halt the protest till we don’t find a cure for coronavirus or till it ends,” said Nigam.

This Molana sahib Mufti Tariq Masood said the same thing which Sonu said it for loudspeakers ,
