She had long back started talking how she is not a good woman...Remember her conversation with Aai.. All she has heard mostly in the last one year on a daily basis is how she is mannerless, culture less, jungli.. badtameez...khudgarz... badmizaz and what not...WIth some exceptions. The praise she gets is not even close to what she gets to hear about herself.. When you have your parents...you know they tell you that you are the best in the world irrespective of what the world says..Sai in that manner is alone..SHe has been just told how she is wrong..FOr every small/big mistakes of her she is name called...her father is name called...She is at the worst phase now... and also in a phase where she does not even know she is self harming..by not standing up for herself. By not questioning the abuse she was made to bear...She is defeated...No zeal to fight... We might call it many things...but this is very common in depression... And her falling into depression, considering what she has gone through at this young age...what she was made to go through in the last one year... after her Aaba dying was inevitable..infact long due

Actually instead of this repetitive accident track, they can actually show a proper clinical depression track for sai and many viewers doesn't understand she is in a phase of depression.

But unfortunately makers have no dimaag 🤧

I would say let’s not talk about real victims because this is not a story of Sai being confused or traumatized due to domestic violence, we know it is their love story.

She did understand when she was manhandled and wanted to call the police...is now giving the scale to her husband to beat her.... She heard samrat speak about it...The problem is way beyond that...

Before that she has to first understand herself. Imagine a girl who would not like being called jungli mulgi...badtameez..immature , now has accepted those terms for herslef and also agrees to it... ...

Does she really has someone who looks at her beyond Virat to tell her what is her worth, what she is...She is a good human..she is not as painted by someone/some family...She is not what her so called family thinks of her...She is way beyond that...She is at her lowest of low..

You know victims are also the ones who call it a love story..One reason why they get back to be with that husband who assaults her...because they have also seen "love" there..Husband speaks about dying... and also have harmed themselves..It took me a lot of time to bring a friend out of that misconception...5-6 years to be precise...Abuse was not violent but was there......Another one is still there for 10 years..

DOmestic violence is not limited to being confused traumatized...being in love is the biggest issue as far as Domestic abuse is concerned and what I hve seen around me...

Completely agree. Sai is on verge of mental collasp. She is just trying to hold strong at this point, but breaking inside. The guy she trusted and consider to be someone she looked up to after her aaba is letting her go..He has time and time again fail her. She is only 19 and he is the only family she had, but he too has betrayed her.

And Pakhi and family are nit helping. They are the once instigsting Virat, and Virat being Virat is just getting instigated. God knows how he became an IPS and how is his vahini Pakhi a MA in Sociology. They both have attended UoM.

There are so many depressing stories, I got a chance to attend a few week consultations in local police station, where psychologists would provide consultation in family dispute/domestic violence cases. The attitude of psychologists appointed, reeked of internalized misogyny, their every suggestion was in relation to “women going out of their lines”, this is the legal/social conditioning of women in India, who suffer from domestic violence, I can’t even imagine going on a personal level to see what are they going through. I can’t share everything but that was the time, I realized how we as women have been conditioned to think in this way because every psychologist on the panel was a woman

In this show, they have every chance to show how domestic violence should be dealt with but sadly, every show is romanticizing it, therefore I really feel I want to keep cases of real women separated from this because I always hope for a chance for them to come out of it and I know Sai is a medium to glorify it among the educated masses

Brilliant post. This show has turned out to be more about normalising male chauvinism, double standards & favouritism within the family, lack of moral values, mental & physical abuse and crimes just short of honour killing.

Infidelity is only a small part of all the evils that Virat Chavan directly or indirectly supports & has exposed Sai to. Even if the infidelity was not there, no way should Sai stay with Virat or the Chavans.

I have also stopped watching & only follow the forum for the good discussions here, and a curiosity about how they will take this sorry story from here.
