Hi friends,

I have caught up in some urgent personal work and hence the delay. Thank you so much for all your lovely reactions and comments so far. They mean so much to me. I have written the next chapter. Please read it.

Part 7:

Raavi is nervous. She feels like fainting. This is not acceptable. She didn’t do anything to deserve this. No one seemed to think about her. She is just a small girl. Can’t they see how this affects by her facial expressions? Okay, she agrees that they are not her biological family, but still for the love of God they should be able to tell what she is going through! Don’t they love her anymore? What is the use of living this life when no one cares about whether she lives or not? She should just kill herself. No need. If they leave her unattended for some more time, she will starve to death anyway.

Yes, she is hungry! And, no one – literally no one seems to be even aware of it. They all are just running here and there making arrangements for a marriage that is not even going to happen. For god's sake, she is the bride after all – well at least till the time Rishita comes here. Isn’t the title enough to treat her like a princess, at least today? She groaned.

She looked into the mirror and gasped. Did Anita di go blind? When she fixed Raavi’s make-up, she told that she is all ready for her dream wedding. But all she can see now is a hangry creature starring back at her.

‘Well, isn’t she at least right about this wedding being just a dream for you?’ her mind told sarcastically.

‘She is already feeling bad about her ruined wedding. Please don’t make fun of her’ her heart fought for her. She felt grateful.

‘Seriously? She is not even thinking about her supposed wedding anymore. Just give her some minutes and she may even ask “Who is Dev?” to us’ her brain complained.

‘Hey…’ her heart started.

‘Believe me when I say since I am her bloody mind and I know what is running in it’ her brain interrupted.

‘And I am her heart. I know what she is feeling. Mr. Stomach, the neighbor had been complaining for a long time now. It seems Raavi is so worried that she didn’t have any food since morning’ her heart said in a sad tone.

‘It’s not like she had a choice. No one is paying her attention. Why don’t you help yourself, Raavi?’ the brain demanded.

Raavi stopped pacing the room. Yeah! Why she is waiting for someone to feed her when she can just go out and have everything? After all, this is a marriage hall and it will surely have lots of food. Her mouth watered thinking about all the sweets. But, can the bride go out? She thought for a moment and decided not to care. It’s not like she is getting married anyway. This wedding drama is going to be so loud that she needs some energy to cope up with it. Shiva said that she needs to cry a lot too, so she decided to drink as much as juice she can. Shiva...

She suddenly felt a flutter of butterflies in her stomach and gulped. She decided to have lots of food so those butterflies won’t get any space to open their wings at all. She turned to go out when she heard a knock on the window. She squinted her eyes. Who is knocking? She face-palmed. The real question is who can knock a room window on the second floor from outside. Oh, goodness! Did she start hallucinating? Is this a side effect of being hungry?

‘If it was the case you will be hallucinating about food, Raavi’ her brain corrected her.

‘Maybe this is a hallucination of food delivery?’ her heart helped in.

‘You stupid, since when swiggy or zomato started delivering through the window? Is there any logic here?’ the brain asked impatiently

‘You are the stupid, then! Logic and Hallucination are your departments.’ The heart snapped.

Another loud knock interrupted her thought process and she went near the window. She pressed her right ear to it and jumped a foot back when she saw a silhouette trying to open the window. Both her heart and mind screamed at her to shout for help as this is surely a burglar who came to steal bride jewels. Raavi got scared and clutched the jewels she is wearing. Oh no… she is already missing a necklace. She cannot afford to lose more. When she noticed the window lock is going to give up soon, she turned around to shout. But her voice is muffled due to a palm pressed to her mouth.

Raavi could not help but cry thinking that she is going to be heartbroken and poor on the same day. What an unlucky day! She could feel the burglar moving near to her and his breath fanned her neck under her left ear. She gasped and closed her eyes. Is this a real burglar? Or some blood-sucking vampire? In both cases, she doesn’t think she has any strength left to fight. She decided to surrender. She felt another wave of hot breath on her and this confirmed that it is definitely a vampire. But why it is here now? Is it hungry too? She got scared and started praying to god for a dashing Edward Cullen lookalike Vampire at least to suffer a happy death.

The vampire slowly whispered near her ear.

“Raavi…”

She opened her eyes in shock. It even knows her name. Must be a powerful vampire! It removed her hand from her mouth, but she is too scared to make even a murmur. When it slowly turned her to face it, she quickly closed her eyes again. She doesn’t want to see its face. What if she finds a Japanese old vampire instead? She would rather die happily instead of seeing it. What is the need of seeing the killer's face anyway? Is she a Naagin to take HD pics of them with her eyes while dying? She doesn’t even have a partner who will take revenge for her. Partner? What must be Shiva doing now? She feels like she has something to tell him before dying…

“Raavi!”

Oh goodness! This vampire can read the mind and do mimicry. Maybe it can impersonate too. She squinted her eyes open and she was right! There stood the vampire with the handsome Shiva’s face. It smiled at her. With this smiling face, the Vampire looked dashing – more than Edward Cullen.

‘No way! Robert Pattinson has the perfect face in the whole world. Have you become blind?’

‘Don’t be angry with her. Love is blind after all’ her heart said in a sing-song tone.

Love? Oh no… her poor heart must be scared a lot to think all these impossible things… Her mind decided not to argue with the poor heart. It decided to pass the last moments in harmony.

She peered at the vampire closely. This vampire is clever enough for choosing Shiva’s face to kill her. He is the best suitor for this job. Killer with killer looks. She smiled at her choice of words. Oh, poor world! It’s going to lose a genius today. Taking a deep sigh, she turned her neck to his side and closed her eyes.

She waited for few minutes, but it didn’t bite. She got confused. Why it is not biting her yet? Please don’t tell even the bloody blood-sucker rejected her! She got furious at that thought and turned sharply towards it. It is just looking at her with a questioning look. Is it judging her qualities to bite?

“What?” she barked at it. It looked confused at her.

“Bite soon!” she moved her jewels and showed the bare neck.

She saw it bending down to her neck and all her anger changed into ultimate fear. She closed her eyes all ready to die. Why should she live when not a single soul cares about her? She tried to picture her parents, mausi, mausa pa, but could not focus properly due to its smell. It is exotic and totally Shiva! How she wish…

She gasped and opened her eyes in shock. The vampire had kissed her neck. She jerked away from it breathing hard. It was smiling at her.

“I would love to bite you, chipkali. But, I don’t want to give you a hickey today” it winked. No! He winked!

“Shiva?” she blinked and he chuckled at her.

“Of course!” he answered her and she felt stupid. Of course, it is Shiva. She knows very well that twilight is total fantasy. Vampires don’t exist! Not at all!

“Who else you thought then?” he asked confused. She chewed her lips not knowing what to say.

“Did you just ask someone else to bite your neck?” he asked angrily.

What? She is furious now. She should be angry at him for kissing her, not the other way around. But before she could think what to shout at him, he started shaking her.

“Okay, leave it. I know you won’t be yourself when you’re hungry.” He said trying to convince her.

“You will start imagining things” he air-quoted. Her anger rose to the next level. Before she blasts him, he indicated a package placed down near the window.

“Hence, I brought you some burgers to eat” he looked back at her with a smiling face and she lost it. She hugged him tight and started crying hard.

She shed happy tears knowing that at last, she found the person who cares about her even in all the hurry.
