Hi, thank you for taking interest 🥰 it is little difficult for me to write a TS. I have started writing the chapter and will be updating within a couple of days 👍

Caught up with this again, another great chapter, very enjoyable 👌❤.

Thank you so much to all the people who have read this story and provided feedback via reactions and comments so far. I have written the 8th part of this story, not much sure whether it will meet your expectations. I have shared it below, please have a look into it.

Part 8:

Raavi stopped crying when she got no more tears to shed. She no longer feels hungry too. It's like her hunger never ever existed. Holding him tight, she had been crying for a long time now but Shiva didn't say anything in return. He just held her lightly and kept on patting her head. She never felt this level of comfort with any person before and she is sure that if there is no wedding that needed immediate action, she would stay like this forever. Oh goodness! Her canceled wedding!

She moved away from him with a jerk. She is stupid. What he will think of her now? She got ready for the elder brother in the morning and hugged the younger one in the evening. She didn't even change the damn dress. Well, technically she could not change it today being the bride and all. She feels like ripping this beautiful lehenga to pieces.

"And start a free show for him?" her mind said sarcastically. She gasped. Her heart giggled at this. She could not believe that these two joining and teasing her. She wants to throw these two along with the lehenga into the Deep Ocean.

"Okay, then what will you do next? Join a mental asylum?" her mind asked incredulously.

"Arrey yaar, don't trouble her. She is already having a bad day" her heart talked in her favor.

"What bad day? She is having both a hot guy and Big Mac for herself in a closed room with no one to share. Very bad day, indeed!" her mind said and her heart giggled again at that.

"Why are you giggling like a teenage girl?" her mind asked in a harsh voice and she could not agree more.

"This is the first time you have called him hot. I know the truth always triumphs" Heart giggled again. She rolled her eyes at this.

"What... no... I said... she is having a hot... Big Mac for herself!" her mind fumbled. That excuse was so dumb that Raavi could not help but face-palm.

"Hey Chipkali!" he caught her hand before she hit herself again. She looked up and saw him looking sharply at her. She liked his gaze but not his words. He was never good with words.

'What words? He just spoke three words in which we cannot count 'hey'. The other two words 'mad' and 'chipkali' are true and hence you should not feel bad' her heart said in a confused tone.

'If you call her mad once more, I will kill you' her mind warned.

'I will kill you before. I am going on a strike and not going to pump any blood for you hereafter." Her heart declared.

'What?' her mind panicked. There was no reply.

'My cute hearty...' her mind called surprising both her heart and her.

'Sorry, I shouted at you darling.' Mind apologized in an unbelievably sweet tone.

'No, you are not sorry. You just don't want me to stop pumping blood for you. I am working hard day and night here, but you just roam around your bakwas thoughts repeatedly and scold me whenever you get bored." Her heart lamented.

'You are so cute that I enjoy teasing you, baby. And besides, I don't think you can be mad at me' her mind said gently.

'Why?' her heart asked intrigued.

'Because you can never be mad since that is my area' her mind clarified and she tried to face-palm again but found her hand locked tightly within Shiva's hand. She looked up at his face and found him frowning at her. He looks like cuteness overloaded and she could not take off her eyes of him.

"What are you thinking, Chipkali?" he demanded. She rolled her eyes. Well, cute till he opens his big bad mouth.

'I can foresee a day where you will feel exactly the opposite' her heart teased and it riled her up so much that she shouted at it to stop.

"What?" Shiva asked confused and then only she realized that she said that out. Arghhh... he is going to think she had gone crazy. Well, more than usual.

She looked back at him again and gulped seeing his handsome face. No, not handsome.

'Are you kidding?' her heart asked in a stern voice.

Okay, a little handsome.

'For god's sake Raavi, get a grip on yourself. He looks the same as yesterday or the day before that or ever since you know him' her brain protested.

Well, that is true technically. But something had been changed. She peered at him and could find concern slowly growing in his face. Eureka! She found it. It is the magic of kindness. He is being kind to her from the morning and that makes her get attracted towards him.

She felt happy with her finding. After all, she is the smartest person in the whole Somnath?

'Raavi, you are confusing with - prettiest girl in the whole Somnath - title' her heart corrected her.

'Hey, dumbo! There are no such titles! She gives herself those whenever she feels like' her mind explained in an exasperated tone.

'Oh...' that's all her heart said in reply and she thanked God that they didn't explore this subject embarrassing her more. Shiva squeezed her hand and let his chest touch Raavi's shoulders like an embrace.

She knows this is not real. He is just being sympathetic towards her since her marriage got broke and that too because of his brother. So he is feeling guilty too. But, these two things - sympathy and guilt are not going to be of any use in the long run. Within a week or month, all his sympathy would blow away and he would be back to normal. She could not keep her hopes on unreal things.

'Finally! That is what I am trying to tell you since morning. He will leave you once all this is over. He is just doing all this for his brother's happiness only' her mind said in a cheerful tone.

'Hey, don't talk ill about my Shiva. Leave her alone" her heart scolded the mind.

"Don't listen to that idiot, Raavi. Shiva genuinely cares about you. Knowing his personality, do you think he would act just to make you part of this plan? He could have achieved all these by mere scoldings itself. Read his eyes if you want to know his true emotions' Her heart said in a supporting voice.

Her heart encouraged her while the mind screamed no. They two were shouting so much that she could not tolerate it anymore. Hence she pulled his hand from him and started shaking her head vehemently. He cupped her face and tilted it upside. Immediately, she closed her eyes.

"Raavi... Raavi..." he called calmly but she refused to look at him.

"Open your eyes, Raavi" he almost pleaded but she shook her head in denial. She is very afraid to see what emotions his eyes have now. She knows that denying what Shiva asks will anger him for sure but could not bring herself to accept his request. His anger can go to hell for all she cares! It would not stand a chance before her determination. She was ready to face anything he would do but as always Shiva surprised her.

He placed his forehead on hers and she melted against him. Tears fought with her closed eyelids and won. It flowed down and wetted Shiva's palms. She thought he would jerk away, but he pressed the foreheads more firmly now.

"Raavi..." his voice is very low but she heard it clearly and hummed in response.

"After all this is over, I want to take you to a place. Would you come with me?" he asked surprising her again.

She blinked her eyes open and gasped at the sight before. His forehead is still pressed to hers and his eyes are closed. She had never seen a man so close and got mesmerized right away. If she had called him handsome before, she wondered what she could call him now. He opened his eyes slowly and removed his forehead from hers. He looked at her giving a soft smile and instantly her eyes shifted to his luscious lips. It looked delicious. It started moving and she could not help but wonder how it would feel to move her lips against it. She snapped back to reality when he hit her head lightly by his forehead. Oh... was he talking to me? Not my fault. What was he saying to me? She remembered he was asking her to go with him somewhere. Is that a date?

'Date!' her heart grinned happily and her mind for a change remained quiet.

'Say Yes! Say Yes!' her heart pushed her and she gave in happily.

"Yes," she echoed her heart and Shiva raised his eyebrow. Did he talk about something else after asking her out? No need to take the risk. She decided to give him a clear answer. One canceled marriage is enough because of her miscommunication!

"Okay, I will come with you" she blushed as she clarified, and with a smile, he removed his hands off of her. He moved a step backward and she regretted saying yes immediately. Maybe she should have waited for some more time?

"Okay then, I will book an appointment," Shiva said loudly folding his hands against his chest and she looked at him blankly.

"What appointment?" she asked him, puzzled.

"To Psychiatrist, of course. You need one" he quickly answered and she gasped.

'What?' "What?" she and her mind asked in unison.

"Wow! He is a real genius' her heart jumped in joy.

He started laughing out loud indicating her face and her newborn anger started growing fast. She started hitting him but he didn't even budge. He is holding his stomach and laughing like a maniac.

Her anger riled up to Everest and she started towards the door. Date! She felt foolish to even think like that. This is Shiva. The only date he knows is the lion dates he is selling in his Pandya store.

Without thinking much, she opened the doors only to see Anita di and Mausi standing ready to knock on the door. Mausa pa was standing behind them. She looked at them shockingly but they smiled back.

"I told right? She could not wait to get married!" Anita di laughingly exclaimed and her mausi shook her head disapprovingly. If she is disapproving of Dev itself, she wondered what would be her reaction to Shiva? Shiva!

She turned around so fast that her lehenga swirled. He is not here. Is he gone?

"Don't tease her. Can't you see she is getting shy?" she heard her Mausa pa's voice but could not care less.

"Bring her down soon. I will go first" he informed before leaving.

Did he jump off the window? She panicked. She quickly ran to the window and looked down but could not find him anywhere. She looked carefully at the floor down and felt relieved when she saw no bloodstain. He must be safe. How fast he had escaped? He is a monkey after all. Her thoughts are interrupted by a huge gasp from her mausi.

She turned to the sound and got shocked to see Anita di with a confused face while mausi standing next to her shockingly. Their hands held the curtain cloth that she had tied on the window to get down from the room.

"What is this, Raavi?" they demanded in unison and she shivered in fear.

Part 9:

‘Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!’ her heart started beating fast.

‘Will you please shut up? I am trying to work here’ her mind shouted.

‘We don’t have time. Do something soon! How long will you take?’ her heart screamed.

‘I am unable to work because of your screams only idiot’ her mind snapped.

“What is this, Raavi?" Her mausi asked again indicating the rope she made of curtains that are currently hanging outside the window.

Raavi hoped her mind would come up with something.

‘It is your fault! You didn’t use it much and it is covered with full of rust now. I could even smell it down here.’ Her heart complained making her pout.

‘Oh don’t cry my baby! Wait for two seconds. Let it dust off.’ Her heart tried to calm her but the questioning faces in front are made her panic.

‘Don’t panic, Raavi. Shiva is right! You should probably eat those burgers to cool off.” Her heart suggested in a calm tone.

‘Got it!’ her mind shrieked suddenly making her face brightened.

‘Really? What is that? Do you want her to jump off the window?’ her heart asked in high pitch.

‘Shut up stupid’ her mind scolded.

Before Raavi could stop them from the further argument, Mausi shook her shoulders.

“Come back to earth, Raavi” her mausi screamed at her face.

“Mausi…” she stammered.

Both Mausi and Anita di sighed.

“What is this Raavi beta? Why there is a curtain tied like a rope outside your window?” her Mausi asked in a tensed voice. Her mausi looked down and gasped.

“And it reaches till the ground!” she added with a big exclamation.

Raavi watched both tensed faces and slowly raised her hand towards space under the window.

Their eyes followed her hand and saw a food parcel. Anita di got confused but Mausi simply rolled her eyes.

“Arrey beta! You can eat later, first explain me this” her mausi quickly demanded.

Before she can reply to anything, Anita di took the parcel and examined it.

“How did you get these burgers, Raavi? We didn’t bring any” Anita di asked dangling the parcel in front of her.

Raavi caught it and hugged against her chest.

“I ordered it” she lied.

“But, why?” both asked together making her angry. She furiously walked towards the bed and kept the parcel. When she returned fiercely, they both jumped back a step.

“I am very hungry and you people didn’t care at all. Hence I ordered food offline to save myself from dying on my wedding day” she shouted at them and they blinked.

“But Raavi, you only asked us to not give you anything to eat today,” Anita di asked confusedly and she got shocked.

“Yeah, you even said ‘Anita di, you should not feel pity even if I beg on your feet’” Mausi mimicking her with perfect expressions brought some memories back.

Of course! How could she forget it? Her heart is right! Her mind has become rusty and useless.

‘Oye! I am already processing your hundred different emotions from morning than this whole year put together. It is normal to lose some data.” Her brain complained while her heart snorted.

A familiar ringtone interrupted their banter. Raavi saw Anita di placing the parcel on the dressing table and going outside to attend the call. She turned to look at her Mausi who is standing with a raised eyebrow.

“For god’s sake, mausi! I know I was on a strict diet all this week to fit into my bridal lehenga, but it doesn’t mean I would starve to death. I just ordered some light snacks.” She acted innocently and her mausi rolled her eyes dramatically.

Both halted their dramas abruptly when they heard a burst of heavy laughter. It was so masculine that Raavi got goosebumps. Both got panicked and held each other for support. Then she heard a thud noise along with the muffled laughter. It’s sounded like someone is trying to control their laughter by hitting on the wall.

‘Who’s that? I almost had an attack!’ her heart cried.

‘But it cannot be anyone. Raavi was all alone here until Shiva came’ her mind said.

‘Shiva!’ they both screamed together making her gasp.

Oh goodness! Is he still here? She focused on the sound origin and found it coming from the bathroom. Why the hell he hid in the bathroom? What was he thinking?

‘Did you give time for him to even think?’ her mind scolded her.

‘I love you – rust-free brain’ her heart squealed.

She peered at the bathroom door and got panicked when her mausi started to follow her gaze. She quickly ran towards the dressing table and took her mobile phone. She brought it near to her ears and started shouting.

“Yes, I got the food delivery, bhaiya. Thank you. Sure, I will give you a five-star rating.”

She sighed in relief when his laughter stopped and looked back at her terrified Mausi.

“Raavi, did you hear that laugh?” her Mausi asked in fear while looking all around the room.

“What laugh? Oh… that… It’s my new ringtone, mausi” she replied with a wide smile and her mausi terrified look changed into a confused one.

‘Wow! You have become a quick thinker!’ her heart praised her mind.

“This ringtone is trending now. Do you like it, Mausi?” she added for an effect and her mausi shook her head in disgust.

“It is scary. You better change it before going down or all the guests would run off in fear of hearing this haunting laug…” her mausi stopped ranting when they heard a loud thud sound.

Her mausi let out a shriek and hugged her in terror. She could not help but roll her eyes at Shiva’s antics while patting her mausi to calmness. He is going to be the death of her, for sure!

Anita di came running inside on hearing Mausi’s sound.

“What happened, Raavi?” she asked after noticing the shivering mausi in her arms.

“I don’t know. She was talking normally but then suddenly hugged me” Raavi lied shrugging her shoulders.

Her mausi gasped and pulled away.

“Did not you hear any sound, Raavi?” she asked in a panicked voice.

“What sound?” Both Raavi and Anita di asked in unison.

‘She became a pro’ her heart commented.

“A big thud sound! Like some elephant trying to break the wall” her mausi explained to Anita di like a kid with hand movements.

“You heard it too, right beta?” her Mausi pleaded to her.

Though she felt bad for her Mausi, she shook her head slowly in denial.

“Then why were you patting me asking to relax?” mausi accused.

‘She got a point, guys!’ her heart said with an approving tone.

Raavi gulped and looked down.

“Oh... that… I thought you were sad because I am leaving you and hence tried to console you” she tried to reason out and looked up squinting one eye to check whether they bought her lie.

Mausi looked at her blankly for a moment and then her face suddenly brightened.

“My god, Raavi! You are teasing me. I know it!” Her mausi started laughing making her confuse this time.

However she tried, she could not come to a point on how her mausi thought this is her prank. She was literally standing before her mausi all this time. At least it would be logical if she doubts Anita di.

“What are you talking about?” Anita di asked mausi.

“Arrey! It’s her message tone. She has these scariest ringtone and message tone” Mausi delusional explanation was interrupted by a thud sound again making all of them shudder. Raavi decided to kill him once all this gets over.

‘Kiss him?’ her heart got excited.

‘Kill him! It’s ‘kill him’’ her mind clarified.

‘Oh sorry, maybe I heard it wrong’ her heart tried to cope up.

‘It’s okay, I understand. If I hear ‘lub tub’ noise for every single second, even I would become deaf’ her heart said sarcastically.

‘Oye! I am not deaf’ her heart protested.

“See… You heard it too right, Anita? I am telling you since this marriage got fixed. Why don’t you believe me? Raavi’s taste is weird.” Her mausi explained to Anita di. “

‘It’s your department!’ both heart and mind shouted together accusing each other.

“Raavi put your mobile in silence” Anita di ordered and she nodded her head in agreement.

“I have put my phone in silence. Hereafter no sound should come, mausi!” she shouted at the ceiling closing her eyes.

Once done she opened her eyes to witness both of them looking at her with a strange look and she gave them a sheepish smile.

“I was wrong, Anita. She doesn’t have a weird taste” Mausi calmly told in a robotic voice.

“She is weird” Anita di completed with a matching tone.

Mausi phone rang suddenly. It was her Mausa pa. She answered the call by just humming in response. Once done with the call, she went near the window and closed its windows after pulling the curtain rope inside. Before Raavi could decipher what is happening, her mausi pulled her outside the room while Anita di followed.

“Let’s go quickly, Raavi! Everybody is waiting downstairs. Your mausa pa is scolding me for the delay.” Her mausi said while locking the door and she got panicked.

“Why are you locking the door, mausi? We are just going downstairs, right?” she could not help but ask her mausi.

“Arrey beta! We have jewels and money inside. We don’t want any thief to take all those. Do we?” her mausi explained making her panic more.

‘Yes, that’s why they are locking with a thief inside’ her mind said in a sarcastic tone.

‘Oye! Don’t call my shiva a thief’ her heart protested.

‘I meant ‘heart thief’, baby.’ her mind

‘OMG! Shiva is trapped.’ Her heart wailed in grief ignoring her mind.

‘I hope his brain is not too rusty to think of an escape’ her mind said in a sympathetic tone making her heart wail more.

‘Okay. Okay. We will help him to get out this room.’ Her mind suggested.

‘Since when do you worry for him?’ her heart stopped crying and asked in surprise.

‘I am not worried about him, but our Raavi. If he is stuck here, who will help Raavi in stopping this marriage?’ her mind reasoned out and her heart gasped in realization.

“Wait!” Raavi shouted halting everyone and the mausi-di pair gave her questioning looks. She gulped and then exhaled loudly.

“You both go first. I will come in two minutes” she said calmly and they looked at her confused.

“You cannot come alone, Raavi. What are you going to do?” Anita di asked.

She looked around to think about some reasonable excuse but her hungry stomach is not let her think properly. Of course!

“I want to eat something before going down.” She said uncertainly.

“Raavi beta. We don’t have time now. You can eat after the wedding” her mausi tried to explain to her.

“But, it will take hours to complete all those rituals. I will die before that” She said in a complaining voice and added pouting for more effect.

“Oh god! This girl is going to be the death of me!” her mausi shouted looking at the ceiling and then looked down at Anita di.

“Get that parcel, Anita. We will feed her some while getting down the stairs.” Mausi instructed Anita di, making her plan quickly flop like a dolphin.

“But…” Her mausi signaled her to stop when she started an excuse and opened the door. Anita di went inside the room and returned with the food parcel Shiva brought for her. Shiva! She doesn’t even know whether he ate or not. What if he too is hungry? She felt like crying.

When mausi pulled her again, she sat down quickly in protest shocking everyone including herself.

“OMG! You are spoiling your bridal lehenga. Get up soon, Raavi” her mausi said in panic while Anita di tried to pull her up.

Oh yes! Her beautiful lehenga! She got up quickly and dusted it off frantically.

Her cleaning work got disturbed when her mausi held her shoulders and shook them vehemently.

“What now?” she asked in an angry tone and Raavi gulped in response.

Her mausi shook again.

“I need to use the bathroom” she slowly raised her hand with a big pout and indicated the closed door.

“One or two?” her mausi asked sternly reminding her of her childhood and Raavi showed her pinky finger in response. Her mausi looked at her thoughtfully while Anita di is trying to control her laugh. This is her worst wedding! Oops… sorry. Worst day! It’s not like she is doing so many weddings to pick the worst one.

Her mausi exhaled loudly.

“I was very sad that you are going to get married into my enemy’s family. But I am not worried anymore.” Her mausi said surprising both her and Anita di.

“They are going to have their hands full. Raavi beta! Please don’t make me feel pity for my enemies” her mausi cupped her cheeks and said in a distraught voice. Raavi slowly nodded in response.

Her mausi opened the lock again.

“Come soon!” Anita di called out when she ran inside.

She quickly went inside the bathroom but found no one there. How come? She had surely heard him laugh. Did she imagine that? No way? Her mausi too heard him. She heard Anita di calling her out and came out of the bathroom.

She started walking slowly towards the door wondering who else laughter they heard then. Her thoughts got interrupted when a cool breeze hit left side of her face. She turned and found the window door now open. She quickly ran towards it to examine. The curtain rope is again hanging outside reaching down.

“Raavi!” her mausi shouted making her jump.

“Coming” she replied loudly and pulled the curtain inside the room. After all, her mausi is right. They don’t want a thief too. Already this is a total mess. She tried to close the window door but failed. A paper shaped like a ball is blocking the door. She took it in her hand and it weighs more than paper. She unwrapped the paper ball and found a Bluetooth inside. She opened the paper and there was a message written to her.

‘I know you will do some drama and come back inside thinking of saving me. But my stupid chipkali, the bathroom door is not locked and hence I am not actually trapped as you feared. Connect this Bluetooth to your phone and put it on your ear. I will give you instructions.”

‘The bathroom is not locked! Of course!’ her mind said in an irritating voice.

‘Are you sure all the rust is gone? Her heart asked in mockery.

Raavi ignored their banter since her total focus is stuck on a particular phrase in the letter.

‘My stupid Chipkali’
