Ignoring all of the real vs reel drama....
I'm likely to be in the minority here but I'm so tired of Aai insinuating and trying to convince Sai to be in love with Virat and vice versa.
First of all, it gives my girl hope that she actively has to squash down every time!
Secondly, Sai, as she said today, respects their relation of being husband and wife, respects Virat as being someone who her father respected and as someone who's "helping" her as well. Yes, there are were fleeting moments when we may consider her to be falling in love with him but her recent dialogues say otherwise. Virakhi love each other, she's only there for a couple years, it's a deal shaadi, it's his room/house that he allows her to stay in, etc.
Thirdly, Virat's actions - his yelling at her, that too in front of everyone and his little jealous stint leading him to yell for Pakhi, believing his family over her, and his wanting her to be tamed down - these aren't traits Sai will fall for. As Aai said, a woman looks for a man like her father in her husband - and Sai's abba and Virat, really are unmatched. Yes, Virat has pressure from his family but he is not the man abba believed he was.
More than all that, there is no way for me to believe Virat is in love with Sai (at least not yet). Yes, he's jealous, and possessive but honestly, the way he asked about the looks and height, seemed more of an ego issue to me because this is the first time someone other than him or his Aai/bua/tai have made Sai genuinely happy.
Also, his actions, in no way, are those of a man in love. Not even hesitating for one second before deciding his family was right about the alta? Wo akeli kahan jayegi - this for a woman who trusted you enough to say she'd leave in a minute if you asked, zabardasti for alta? really, maybe you are more like your father that we thought? He should realize 1- say doesn't lie (can't even believe he thought that -.-), and 2 - she doesn't create a scene for no reason (like boy did you just casually ignore the fact that she had to fight to get her hand free? maybe she had a legit reason?)
Tbh, as much as I love Sai, I hope to god after Virat is done with Pakhi, Sai is applying ointment to the burns from the alta. I want him to realize why there was a scene, how she did it regardless and now the consequences of forcing someone to do something that could literally kill them
I just feel like between Ashwini and Virat, Sai would end up like Ashwini 2.0 if she didn't have the backbone she does. I honestly can't wait for Sai to leave because Virat needs to figure out what he wants from her and learn how to treat her.
Anywho, sorry for this longwinded rant but I think I'll be taking a break from this show until Virat is the character I'd assumed him to be in the beginning.
EDIT: Twitter tells me Neil says Sai is a grey character?? Sir, there's a difference between grey and flawed characters. Main kahan sar phodu??
EDIT 2: Assuming they are referring to this article where he says they all have greys? I disagree but main hoon kaun?
