Is Male Lead sidelined

From the chilli grinding episode , I have noticed two things one Virat’s screenspace is reduced and second his character is toned down completely. I have seen the Tamil version, ML was firm in his stand. Here Virat is shown as a weak character who is helpless without a voice. I noticed the same during his interaction with Amay. I don't see the Virat we saw few weeks back. I am wondering is this done on purpose to gain sympathy for the female lead and to please the TRP audience.

This expected from Itv. Somebody on the forum said that how it’s slowly becoming Sais story though initially they said it was about Virat.

Ever since the Amay episode I feel that this is the route they are taking. It’s getting them the trps.

Virat has sadly become bystander in this cringe fest.

Today’s episode in the Tamil version was way better & also they had started flirting now & then so it satisfied most people. Here it’s jumping from one drama to another with very poor direction & dialogues.

Very disappointed with today’s episode especially!

They are following kusum dola so now wonder we are not getting the good stuff of the tamil one. Yep it seems that to follow itv tropes they are making virat character much more weak and spineless to keep all focus on the female lead and vamp. So expect a virat who will be harsh with sai and soft with his family and pakhi always. 🥱

I found Virat toned down even in the chili grinding episode but I thought it was to show Virat as a calm and composed guy but they showed him lose his temper with Sai. All these points to one thing, the focus is shifted to the female lead.

I don’t think so. He is not side lined. In fact the room yelling version is not present in the Tamil version at all. And the screen presence of Virat is more when in comparison to both rono and Vikram. Based off the similar episodes that I saw in the different versions ( was quite jobless this weekend ).

I still like Virat’s acting better than the other two versions ML. Just that the fault is with the dialogue writers. Virat shows minute facial expression.

it feels Sai centric as Sai drives the changes in the chavan family. That’s how the story is in both Bengal and Tamil version. In my opinion both are leads and no one is sidelined as it is a love story revolving the two of them.

yes the CVS can introduce new plotlines which can show Virat on a mission etc I would quite like to see that as well. Could be a distraction from the family drama.

Maybe some terrorist can take control of the Chavan family and take them hostage 🤣😛 that will be damn fun to watch

Also I felt the Tamil version ML to be very cringey. The cute moments were not cute because of his reactions

See that is the problem. These kind of things will not happen if I know ITV well.

It will be about Sai going to college, solving devi tais problem etc while enduring all the insults from the chakrams. In fact if they follow the Tamil version Virat will suspect her of an EMA.

I was watching because I like the chemistry between the leads. I liked the fight yesterday between them but today’s episode was so blah.

Anyway I’m hoping for some more reaction tomorrow from Virat. Don’t want to judge based on today’s episode.

Actually his acting was not great but at least the reaction to today’s plate throwing, even his reaction to the chilli grinding was way better than Virat.

What is the point of having a good actors if his dialogues don’t have any impact.

even I liked the fight episode. I rewatched it couple of times ( yes I am weird 😛) just for the expression and the comebacks ( Sai) and Virat’s expressions

Virat ki zararut nahi hain. Though PP might try to get one of them to get rid of Sai.
