Why can't we have songs like this anymore?

This song is perfect in every sense of the word. Just wish we could have songs like this still

Sonali's beauty, Aamir's expressions and Jagjit Singh's honey-coated voice...and the visuals...so reminiscent of the purity of first love.

all the ghazal songs are dead basically. No new musician wants to do ghazals any more. which is sad

RFAK will remake some (or all) NFAK songs.

The time when Jagjit ji, Gulzar, and Javed Akhtar created songs together is long gone now.

I still listen to those albums.

It's because all our music composers are driven by other things. I mean it's not like 1990s was big on ghazals either but there was a period in Indian cinema where ghazals, urdu inspired poetry was very important to music composers. Now it is not. It's pretty much gone. I don't even know of any ghazal singers beside Rekha Bhardwaj.

Absolutely loooove this song and picturization... That innocent first love... aankhon hi aankhon mein... dil hi dil mein..

Haye.. where is bollywood headed to now..

This is what made Bollywood unique.. now it is just following western route..

For that we need to have talented lyricists, music directors and voices like Jagjit.

This song always takes me somewhere else. Lyrics are so heart touching.

I actually had a very great conversation about declining quality of music in bollywood with an uber driver when this song came in radio and I insisted him to raise the volume.
