Jackie is smoking hot. Hai Rama indeed. Seeing Urmila in a white vest was somehow more shocking than seeing her in a swimsuit. But not a trace of vulgarity in her portrayal. There's a fine line between being sensual and vulgar. And her expressions have as much to do with it as dancing skills. I wish today's item dancers and choreographers get that. Looking at you Sunny Leone and Nora Fatehi.

I couldn't believe it was Shefali Shah who played the role of the demanding starlet.

My all time favourite. The impact of this movie is huge. Hollywood made a movie influenced by Rangeela. The costumes became so popular that Filmfare added the best costume design category.

Rangeela basic plot is nothing new, I have seen an old BW movie and TV show with similar storyline I am sure there must be other versions... Don’t know where they got their inspiration from

But sure the treatment (whatever that means) was different

Old story yet groundbreaking in many ways

If you’re referring to “Win a date with Tad Hamilton!” (not watched it

only read the detailed plot and the reviews) but the plot reads like many other silly romcoms that came before it

The other guy is usually a very rich guy, a celebrity or a royalty, a Prince, in this case a movie star

And the girl is not an ambitious one like Millie, she does want to become rich, or a movie star

They won’t copy the exact thing like Bollywood.🤣 But the main plot is similar. According to many articles it is inspired from Rangeela. There might be many romcom cheesy movies now but Rangeela came out in 1995. it was one of its own kind during that time.

Ki Ka was a film directed by R. Balki—and it remains one of my favourite films of 2016. I loved it because it dared to flip something we rarely...
