Arjun Rampal, John, Hrithik etc since they are the best looking male actors ever and should have the biggest female fan followings ever. Katrina, Deepika etc have a majority male followers due to their looks and body so why does SRK has the same equivalence despite not being conventionally attractive . You mentioned Arjun, John and Hrithik but they never appealed to me despite their looks. Not for nothing did SRK attain super stardom from 90s-mid 2000's. SRK was super charming in all his early movies and was damn attractive. You can ask any girl in the 90s and majority were fans of SRK becoz of his charming personality, wittiness and the entire magnetic aura he had around him.

SRK excuses charm and spell binds the audience with his role. When he romances he is very passionate and earnest.He has excellent screen presence. He has broken the stereotypical mould of the rash, brash madly hero into more gentle and affable one. He even made the loser lover to win the hearts. He has done roles which bring fair tale element into the romance. Some of his dialogues became very popular and his iconic romance pose.

Witty, charismatic, down to earth, a doting father.. this is a package deal for anyone to become his fan. His only mistake is he chose wrong scripts and wrong movies.. Give him a good director and see how he shines! Swades and Chak dey are shining examples that he can act.

Even if he is the supposed "hamming bad actor" his off screen persona is just larger than life.. very hard to not become his fan..
