The oldest remake in movies I can think of after don hmm... har kisiki nahi milta from some Akshay film.

Remakes and remixes have always been there.

But I think the trend of having a compulsory "catchy" party number in modern flicks started with "Aapka Kya Hoga Janabe-e-aali" from Housefull 1 in 2010.

It was followed by several one-off remakes (like Dum Maaro Dam, Oye Oye, Na jaane kahan se aaya hai, Chull, Kala Chashma etc ) as well as original party numbers (like Hookah Bar, Baby Doll, Daddy Mummy, Chitiyan Kalayian, Nashe Si Chadh Gayi etc) over the years.

But I think after Dilbar's success in mid-2018, all music composers lost their sh** and since then every other song seems to be a remake.
