Golmaal 5 release date rumours shut down by makers, official announcement awaited

The makers of Golmaal 5 have addressed reports claiming that the film will arrive in theatres on December 4, 2026. The team behind Rohit Shetty Picturez's upcoming comedy entertainer has denied the reports and termed the release date speculation "false and baseless."

Recently, several reports suggested that the fifth instalment of the Golmaal franchise had locked December 4, 2026, as its theatrical release date. However, the makers clarified that no official release date has been decided yet and requested audiences to wait for confirmation through official channels.

A spokesperson for Rohit Shetty Picturez said, "We have come across speculation regarding the release date of our upcoming film, Golmaal 5. We would like to clarify that these reports are completely false and baseless."

The spokesperson further added, "Our entire team is currently focused on making an entertaining film for audiences and we look forward to sharing official updates at the appropriate time. Any information regarding the film, including its release date, will be communicated only through our official announcements."

The team also urged media outlets and audiences to avoid circulating unverified information regarding the project. With the clarification, the official release date of Golmaal 5 remains under wraps.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, the upcoming film marks the fifth chapter of the popular comedy franchise. The movie features Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu. Sharman Joshi will also return to the franchise after featuring in the first film. Akshay Kumar has joined the cast for the first time, while Priyamani is reportedly playing a key role.

The Golmaal franchise began in 2006 with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited and went on to include Golmaal Returns in 2008, Golmaal 3 in 2010 and Golmaal Again in 2017. Over the years, the series has remained one of Rohit Shetty's major comedy ventures, known for its ensemble cast and recurring humour.
