Rishita Kothari's alleged beau Mridul Meena takes legal action against Gaurav Sharma over 'defamatory' claims

Rishita Kothari's alleged beau, Mridul Meena, has initiated legal action against Seher Hone Ko Hai actor Gaurav Sharma over remarks made during a recent interview about the alleged controversy involving Parth Samthaan. Speaking exclusively to The Free Press Journal, Mridul said people should not "create or speak stories" without knowing the complete facts.

The development comes after Gaurav spoke about the alleged incident during an interview, where he shared what he had reportedly heard about the situation. Mridul has objected to several of those statements, alleging that they are defamatory and could harm his reputation.

Speaking to The Free Press Journal, Mridul said he consulted his legal team after watching the interview and decided to proceed with legal action against the actor.

He said, "If you don't know the full story, and if I choose to stay quiet and ignore certain things, that doesn't mean anyone can create or speak stories about me." Mridul further added, "Stories are good to hear when they're part of a project, but this doesn't work in real life. I can also accuse ten people of ten different things, but I don't want to get involved in that."

He also clarified that he is not worried about public opinion but drew a line at unverified claims made in interviews. "Anyone is free to think whatever they want, and I honestly don't care. But if someone uses my name in interviews or links me to anything that crosses boundaries without any proof, it will be treated as a legal offence. My legal team will take every possible legal action necessary," he stated.

Earlier, in an interview with Telly Talk, Gaurav Sharma was asked about the alleged controversy involving Seher Hone Ko Hai lead actors Rishita Kothari and Parth Samthaan. Responding to the question, he claimed he had heard on the set, "Rishita ka boyfriend aur Parth inka koi social media debate ho gaya hai, kisi baat ko le kar koi hurt ho gaya hai uske chakkar mein."

He further said, "Mamla kaafi garma gaya tha beech mein." Gaurav also claimed that he sensed a "cold war" between the lead actors while they filmed together, adding that such situations often affect actors on set. He later joked with the host, "Isliye main kehta hoon ye sab karo mat set pe."

At the time of publishing, Gaurav Sharma has not publicly responded to Mridul Meena's decision to pursue legal action.
