Can Chapaak beat the opening day collections of the female-centric movies with highest opening?

The Dirty Picture collected 9.75 crores on its opening day and Veere Di wedding collected 10.35 crores on its opening day.

Those who are saying no, please elaborate why.

I think I can guess your reasons, but still...

The Dirty Picture had Emraan Hashmi who was a bankable star in 2011 so it wasn't really a female-centric movie from box office perspective.

I agree, and veere di wedding had an ensemble cast.

So, which is the movie with the highest opening for a purely female-centric movie acc. to you?

Sonam, Swara and whatever the fourth girl's name is don't have any stardom so it's Veere Di Wedding.

In that case, it shouldn't be too hard as Deepika is a much bigger star than Kareena.

I guess the genre of the film is a detrimental factor though, as you2 mentioned. Let's see which factor dominates.

At least compare movies which are similar in their makeing. You can compare neerja with chappak or Pink and raazi

I am comparing movies by female-centricness, not by genre.

Both raazi and neerja are female centric though

And chapak s closest competition os with raazi which was last directorial venture of meghn gulzar and starred alia bhatt had a great opening more than piku
