If Mauli is not real then none of us are.

She is the most real character which has been written till date.

I guess TM you have never witnessed EMA in your real life. We have seen in close quarters with our friends so are aware how their mind works at that time.

This is exactly how a woman behaves when she finds out about her husband's EMA. They are in constant dilemma whether to break or not to break their marriage as they are unable to understand whether the present in which her husband is claiming that he doesn't love her is true or the past in which they both shared a beautiful relationship was true

It's not easy for a woman to break her long term marriage and just leave. Most of the times if there are kids involved they also accept the EMA of their husband forever.

I really dunno how and where did Kunal and Nandini fall in love and how was Kunal and Mauli's love shown but whatever little history I have read and the dialogues which I have heard from Nandini specially - she doesn't love Kunal.

She is in love with Kunals qualities of pampering her, looking after her and taking care of her needs in a very proper way. He respects her and makes her feel wanted and important in his life.

Like any other girl she had also dreamt about the above traits in her life partner and yearned for it in her loveless marriage where she was tortured to no end.

Today when she is getting them she is not ready to leave. She so desperately wanted this love that she was ready to pay the cost by breaking her best friends trust and friendship.

Nandini is in love with kunals qualities but how much of it is real love needs to be seen.

Why is it so difficult to believe that Kunal's love for Nandini began to evolve once he saw her dancing in the rain? Most of the people in our previous generation got married only after seeing each other, or sometimes just each other's photographs, once. There are many people who fall in love at first sight. Are these also examples of lust? Or is lust only applicable when married individuals fall for someone other than their spouse? Now, what if Kunal wasn't married? Would that still count as love or would it still be lust? Would the signs from above still be mocked?

Now comes the question... Why did Kunal fall for Nandini when he was happily married to Mauli? But was he? Their marriage was unrealistically perfect, even for a reel couple. Maybe it was perfect for Mauli. But it wasn't for Kunal, even though he thought it was. He was so in awe of Mauli that he made her idea of a perfect marriage his. I always found him a little too happy and chirpy about everything when he was with Mauli. Also, he was over-the-top in declaring his love for her and did it all the time, which was kind of annoying, and also felt as if he was telling it to himself more than anyone else. He didn't share any common interests with Mauli. I'm married and I know for sure that if all I could talk to my husband was about love, our son, and finances, I'd go crazy. I believe that a marriage should have the right mix of similarity and differences. Kunal and Mauli were too different to be life partners. Yes, they were friends, which is why Kunal shared his biggest dream of opening a free clinic with her. But marriage is as much about day-to-day happenings and conversations as it is about big events. When Kunal met Nandini, he saw what he was missing out, and eventually realized that he was married to the wrong person. A homely saree-clad woman who cooks well and shares many of his interests is his lady love. This doesn't mean that he is against independent women, women who don't wear sarees, or women who can't cook. He always supported Mauli and he did so genuinely, but he also wanted someone who could spend more time with him and discuss common interests. He never complained about not getting all that, but it was there inside him, and without him realizing, Nandini entered in the form of everything that was missing from his life, and only then he knew it. Is it wrong for a woman to voluntary be a homemaker; isn't she as strong and significant as a salaried woman? And is it wrong for a man to fall for such a woman?

The manner in which the entire incident happened was ugly, but Kunal and Mauli would've parted ways eventually anyway, when Kunal would realize the truth of his marriage. Nandini coming into their lives was more like a catalyst. Why it had to happen this way is a question nobody can answer. Shit happens.

Coming back to the characters...

Kunal and Nandini are grey, and to me, are the most relatable ones. They're real people with genuinely good feelings, but bad timing. Everything is getting ugly, including Kunal's behavior towards Mauli. It's not right, I agree. KuNan are and will continue to pay the price for it, together or apart. But if their love triumphs and Mauli moves on happily with her life (and child), I think KuNan deserve to get their happiness too. All this shouldn't have been for nothing.

Rajdeep is black. The villain. He's pure evil. I have no opinion about the manner his character is portrayed.

Mauli is white. And so white, that it's unsettling. She has been put on this pedestal and almost all the viewers are worshipping her. Everyone can see the story only from her perspective - the perspective of the most unrealistic character in the show. I guess if she begins to have grey shades, the dwindling viewers will also stop watching the serial altogether.

I do not know the exact reason for this vast distinction between the way the main characters have been portrayed, but it has let me see a very disturbing truth about people in general. As long as characters remain 100 percent good or bad, they are acceptable. But grey characters are not, because people cannot digest the fact that a woman who falls in love with her friend's husband can sacrifice her love for that same friend. People cannot accept the fact that both these traits are equally real. They want to label the woman as bad, so any good she does is misinterpreted and twisted. She ends up becoming a worse person than a rapist. And this is something I have seen in real life too. Speaks a lot about the society we live in. That's why people prefer to stay in loveless marriages rather than breaking free and taking a second chance.

Extra marital affairs cannot be justified because these affairs happen while the Couple is still married. When a couple enters into a marriage they need to uphold their vows to be faithful. If there is no love anymore or one is unhappy...then talk about it and then get divorced and then starting having a relationship with someone else ...don't do,it while you are still married and hurt your spouse. Also it's strange how the the unfaithful spouse is usually happy to stay in the marriage until the third person arrives on the scene ...Kunal was happy to be married to mauli until Nandhini arrived on the scene . They may have had minor issues but he certainly was not thinking about divorce. Ok if he did fall in love with Nandhini then he should have told mauli about it got the divorce and then only start a sexual relationship with her.. don't cheat on your wife while you are married. It's disrespectful to her. Also I don't think anyone is putting mauli on a pedestal...rather we all just feel so sorry for her becAuse she has been treated unfairly ...she was the one who was cheated. But I also believe that when a couple are married they have a responsibility to each other. They need to work on and maintain their marriage ...they can't let themselves get atttacted to a third person, start having romantic feelings for that person and then have a fully fledged affair . Now one may say that a person can't control his or her feelings or being attracted to someone . But I believe that you can try to control your feelings and when you are married you have to be especially careful. Single people as well as married people will meet atttractive people of the opposite sex in their daily lives be it at work or socially etc ...some times there will be temptations, married people need to be wise on their actions. But anyway that didnt happen with Kunal lol..he was attracted to Nandhini and then went all the way and fell in love with her.

Completely agreed.
When two people enter into marriage ,they have taken vows to uphold. If they aren't ready for a responsibility that big...den shouldn't marry .Marriage is not some teenage courtship that can change if they find a more suitable partner to romance with.Atleast have some dignity and get a divorce before getting into a physical relationship with another woman .

Besides marriage is not just made up of romance and romance only.It takes a lot from both partners and families to build and hold a marriage together. Its not some take for granted thing. You hv to work on it every step of d way.If it lacks something...you first try to work it out...and not go looking for it outside of marriage.

Coming to love at first sight.Kunal didn't fall in love wid Nandini at first sight. He felt d attraction only after seeing her dance in d rain. How cliched !!!!! What Kunal sees in Nandini is a beautiful damsel in distress who needs him every step of d way, to protect her and love her. He feels like a prince in shining armour around her...so d so called love.

Lastly ders a reason so many people connect more wid Mauli...because she is relatable to most viewers. Women are independent now. They have jobs and dey love der jobs. Women today like sharing responsibilities. They are strong enough to stand for themselves and do der own work and others as well. They don't wish to ask der partners to help them for every single thing. Many don't cook coz they too hv jobs. They dress up according to comfort and suitability...not to wow there husbands. And Mauli is all dt.Thats y d relatibility to her character.

I don't blame Nandini for being naive and shy and homely.Nothing wrong wid dt or dressing up.Thats just a choice. Her bad and abusive marriage is not her fault either. She is a victim der.But I don't relate to a person who instead of trying to stand up and become independent...just wants another man to support her.Yes she wasn't strong by nature...but then she never tries. Such low self esteem. The only time she shows courage is when having an affair with her frnd's husband. So forgive us if v dnt connect or understand Nandini...who can't even stand by her own decisions for more dn a day.Very poor example to follow or look up to.
