When I saw Zain interview with Delhi Times (i think it was) he said that the show had the Mahesh Bhatt name and then he joined and took it to another level. I actually found this irritating because I thought exactly like Aditi said in the segment "thum apne aap ko itna uppar kyu samajthe ho?. Zain did not alone create the popularity of Naamkaran - it was Anveil/Adiza, Neelama, Ali and so many other characters and actors who did this. But I let it go because I thought it might be a slip of the tongue. But then seeing his recent insta post it made me thing - no, I am not wrong. Zain is a very vain guy and unlike most lead actors in other shows he genuinely thinks he is the king and the main attraction.

In the while Gul controversy he is not wrong - Gul should have the maturity of age and seniority to realise how things can things misunderstood. She should have cut the fan question down because she herself is misunderstood and misquoted so often.

But that does not change the fact that Zain should stop thinking that the world begins and ends with him. Aditi, Gautam, Sayantani, Barkha, Shruti... they are made Naamkaran with him.

I'm not even being a blind fan when I say this, but I truly think that you like many others are making the mistake of over-analysing every word and action of a person who is in the public eye. In general we have a tendency to pay unnecessary close attention to the way celebs move, where they look and what they say and do in general, then we create our own theories or perceptions on what we see. Unfortunately, Zain is also being targeted with the same. The boy has no ill intentions, speaks frankly and honestly about things, but people become fixated on his every word and create their own interpretations on what he says.

The only time I didn't like what he said was what he said being a blind fan of salman khan on his cases recently, because zain felt that salman is a charitable person and what not, plus he either jokingly or not said that you can buy love with money, but again I keep going back to that and it seems like he was messing about when he said that, as it contradicts with things he has said in the past on the issue of love, but the salman thing was what annoyed me because that is what every celeb keeps saying in defense of salman.

Other than that, everything he says is completely taken out of context because he himself has said he doesn't mince his words and says what is on his mind without thinking too much about his words. This quality of his is what makes him good and matches with how he has said in the past he hates pretentious people, because if he was a pretentious person himself, he would over-think and be overtly careful about his words, so instead he says what is in his heart.

I don't think I took anything he said out of context. I have not based my view on second hand sources. I detailed exactly the context in which he said it and posted about my interpretation and view of his words. That's just my view. I still think the guy is a good actor and Uber hot but...

I do want to add something that you mentioned: "I thought exactly like Aditi said in the segment "thum apne aap ko itna uppar kyu samajthe ho?."
Aditi mentioned that in the context where he said he can distract people by playing with his eyes only. Playing with his eyes can mean "winking unexpectedly at the person; crossing his eyes, etc."

I don't remember Zain saying that he was the one who took the show to another level. In fact, he's always appreciated his senior co-actors. In a recent IV that I saw of his, he was so respectful of Shruti, Nilu ji, etc. He even appreciated having the chance to work with Reema ji before she passed away because she was such a talented actress and he got to learn from her.

In respect to the Zainian tag: This is a tag he's been using since the beginning ( at least from when I started to get involved in the show. I remember that!), he did not create it recently to hype himself up. I understand the concept of the tag: His IG page, his IG story, his IG tags, his fans. On his page, he was addressing his fans who do not only include the AvNeil fans or the AdiZa fans. His fans also include his TEI fans, who have watched NK because of him.

My personal opinion (from the IVs I've seen) Zain is childish (not saying his immature) but like he said he has a mind like a teenager, he's impulsive ( like he's said), and he's blunt ( like he's said) and so he speaks his mind honestly. He never hides things and this is why the fandom calls him the most trusted source of spoilers because he never hides.

He's recently been pushed to the limelight, especially around BCL where the reporters were all after him about his abs and his shirt. Girls have been trying to get really cosy with him. And before we, as fans make judgement, let's consider we see a blip of their lives not the full thing. Aditi spent more time with him and she said that he doesn't like fairness around him. That hardly shows a guy who's full of himself. In fact, the stories I've seen of him on IG from various people have shown what he likes, and the kind of person he could be.

And not to pinpoint, but I think fans are overanalyzing everything recently, and being super sensitive. I understand the show is ending and we're all sad, but people need to understand that while this is hard for us, it's harder for the actors; who've lived and breathed this show for the last 15 months.

I am sure when the post leap started initially the success responsibility started on his shoulder since he was the known figure and Aditi was still new. But the eventual success of the show was due to both AdiZa plus the rest of the supporting cast which includes Neelama, Bebe, Swetha, Prakash, Ali and DD.

Unlike other ML, I hope Zain realizes that it takes two to tango and two to make chemistry and gives equal credit to Aditi for the sizzling chemistry and success of NK.

In the past I have always hated it when the ML takes full credit and doesn't acknowledge the FL. Hope that does not happen with AdiZa and they both equally enjoy the success and popularity of NK.

I kind of find it stupid that people are having a go at him for referring to his fans as zanians. Literally every american celeb fandom have given themselves a name like lovatics for demi lovato, and demi hence started referring to her fandom by the same name they give themselves, as it is their way of acknowledging their fan presence online as they also see fan accounts and messages with the same fandom name used. I noticed an instagram page from zain's TEI days which has zainian in the name, and zain sees fans comments and stuff as all celebs do, so he sees that his fans call themselves zainians, and now he refers to them the same way. No celeb creates a name for the fandom themselves; the fandom themselves do and even have fan accounts made by the same name which the said celeb sees and acknowledges.

Agreed. Like they didn't call themselves AdiZa. We came up with that, just like we came up with AvNeil.

There are fan clubs out there with "Zainians" in their names.

Aditi doesn't care about this stuff, and she doesn't really have an online presence. So there's none of that for her, though she does also have fan clubs.
