I think you mean starting phase of IB which was terrific because as felt by many fans, cuurent IBIB becoming like not here neither there kind of show with no trailblazing trp neither good characterisations and development of character and pleothera of illogical tracks.The youthfulness and newness has given way to groupbaazi or childishness; the original ratio of screenspace which was 50:30:20 is now very skewed and without exploring current relations, new new relations are being created. This forum consist of IB fans, and from the last 4-5 months, a large percentage either skipped episodes, read written updates only or just fast forward to watch 2-5 minutes of scenes out if 21 minute of episodes. If hardcore fans are becoming that much disoriented, one can imagine what will happen next.

The first 200 epi of IB was too good.. Strictly my opinion gul actually doesn't know how to write for trp audience.. The first 100-200 epi will be really good in all her serials but unfortunately they don't appeal to trp audience so after that when she is desperate for trp she ruins it..

But most of serials are liked by youth so if the trp system changes then it will give gul the freedom to show the story exactly like she wants to, not like trp aunties wants to..

Nakshatra, Apart from not able to write for trp audience, not able to write longer stories is also one major drawback, because even when GK tries to go trp route or story lengthens, the weaknesses just come to the forefront. IIthink you are right in saying GK need to decide what exactly she wants (kind of l ike bhavya character who needs to decide whether she want to be an ACP or groupbaazi)

A is a spin-off with huge fan following for the character (even the show was started because the character has such a huge following). A was touted as India first spin off and have young and attractive cast with characters who are pretty much established in parent show. A goes in to a new route if scifiction, medical fantasy psycho drama.

B is a show which copied the A concept of spinoff. B doesn't have any established character of parent show and B has altogether new characters (even if related by parent show characters). B is kind of repeating parent show story with twist and turn.

Theoretically B should have been off air and A should have been trailblazing the tv scene. In reality, B is kind of "betaaj badshah" of TV with untouchable trp and number 1 from manymonths (even far better than parent show) and A has been lambasted by fans and already closed.

May be she has problem with writing long term, but her main problem is she doesn't have a plan B.. It's always plan A with her.. She has a certain heroine characteristics decided for the middle brother but that didn't work out and then she introduced half baked con girl, which did not work.. Same happened with rumya as well.. She let their story go haywire and at the end didn't know how to bring it on track so she bought half baked ACP.. But mostly if you let her work on her own she is extremely good but interference of any kind (channel and trp), then she is a confused soul with ego problem.. Her main problem is she concentrate on one track so much that she doesn't create a back up track in case the first one doesn't work out.. That is why I told that if she is free to show whatever she wants to show it will be really good.. But mostly our trp system and our sanskari channel won't let it happen..

And about spin off it would have worked if she had set different team for that.. She had 3 shows at hand but she used same set of writers for all 3..writers over worked themselves so they couldn't come up new idea.. No one can work at 3 completely different projects at same time.. Also in IB she should have kept different writer for different love story and one for Obro's and family.. It wouldn't have clashed as much if she had done that.. Her team is really good but if you over work them them there won't be any ideas left..

And about spin off B being famous, really amusing... Just wait for the endless memory drama.. It's right in the corner.. Some time I wonder about how can rp aunties like that...
