His appointed bride ran away because of a girl.. It was a business deal for him and because of that girl he was backed against the wall and going to lose what he held (a misconception though) most dearly, his family pride and his dadaji's legacy..

Morris promised his daughter the rose as he would bring like he did in most of his other trips.. He saw a beautiful rose and plucked it and the beast was enraged..

Shivay wanted the girl to pay the price so he demanded, the girl escaped and he was once again cornered.. He blackmailed the girl by using her brother as leverage but was her brother truly at risk? I don't think so..

Morris was locked away in the castle, Belle wanted to rescue him and traded places with her father..

The girl wanting to protect her brother payed the price..

Belle promised herself and her father that she would escape the first chance she got..

The girl left the house only to brought back by granny whom she adored.. And couldn't say no.. The girl was confused at one side there was a person who blackmailed her and at other side a grand mother, two brothers a sister, a family disfunction all yes still a family.. She carved that her entire life she was desperate for an affectionate embrace and she finally got that.. She accepted it whole heartedly.. She did not forgive her blackmailer mind you..

Belle escaped only to be saved by the beast from wolves.. He was injured in the incident.. Belle brought him back to castle and took care of him, and saw his innocent side..

The girl still confused about her relationship with her black mailer yet now actually has somewhat of a family.. But she is insecure about if she walks away she might not have what she waited for so long, in the same time there was a problem.. Some one was targeting that family and she remained there to save them.. But one thing lead to another her black mailer became her rescuer..

Annika was never a doormat, simply because she never walked away.. Some time the solution to a problem is not walking away, it's about staying there facing that problem and solving it head on and she did just that.. Yes most of us would have walked away if we were in that position, but what most of us fail to understand that our life is nothing like Annika's.. 'Don't judge a person until you have walked in his shoes for a mile..' And every person is different.. We speak about self respect, she changed that man completely she stayed there she looked him the eye and made him repent not out of spite but because she made him realize he was wrong and changed him.. If that is not self respect I don't know what is.. I am proud of this girl and yes she is nayi soch..

And I will throw Chameli at you if you say shivay did not have his redemption.. Action speaks louder than words.. He his action did not just speak loudly it screamed and the entire world heard it..
It always amazes me that I am still watching this serial after all the bullshit tracks but I cannot move on.. This is a story of beauty and the beast and I was and I will never be able to walk away from my favorite fairytale..😳

Ps: let's have a deal, I did not mean to bash and I also think that I didn't so you don't as well.. How does that sound? Even if doesn't sound good you don't have any option..😉

Also I would like to add, people often say Anika fell in love with her abuser and etc etc but the fact is both fell for each other much earlier, only the acceptance & confession came later 😳

And even I cant quit this show, still watching for these two idiots and will continue it for them 😆

If i say honestly i think It was out of character in case of Anika in post marriage track,showing Anika stayed in OM after Marriage it was all convenient for CVs to put them in one house😆

The whole forced marriage track was a trp stunt 😆,many characters were butchered in that track for milking trps,the previous Anika would never stay in that house or in that marriage if we go by basic initial characterisations i hated that post marriage track personally😆 and i assume it never happened,i was like fhat the wuck when i saw Anika agreeing to come to OM when Dadi asked,and she feeling hurt when he introduced Tia to the media,pre mrg Anika would never do that let alone getting ready for the reception or expecting him announcing her as wife infront of media.i saw a lot of debate going on in the MF in those days about Shivaay character,i don't say he is not redeemed ,they showed his redemption beautifully and at the same time they did it at cost of sacrificing Anika character to the some extent.And also i didn't like they changing his whole basic traits or characterisation to the extent of he losing his identity,they should have retain some of them,nowadays all characters are butchered in the name of girls gang and groupbaazi😆 no one character will behave their way,it was like paagalkhana in the last week episodes,everyone became monkeys😆,no offense you were asking about that track i am blabbering and cribbing about last week episodes😆 as i am unable to get away from the horror i saw in thursday episode😆

Finally my POV about forced mrg is Trp stunt😆

The same Annika who came to work for him as his wedding planner, the same Annika who lied to the cops to save him, and again came to work for him after he insulted her.. And I don't think shivay was the sole reason for those actions his family plays a big role in her decisions.. The first thing she asked sahil if he was OK, she got to know that he was never in danger..
Yes it was a trp stunt and at that time even I felt they were butchering her character but now I don't think so.. That time it was a portrait in making, we only had bits and pieces but now when I see the finished master piece it's beautiful.. But you have ur opinion and I respect that.. Let's agree to disagree and nowadays character butchering, I won't comment on it because my blood boils looking at all the illogical irrational shit that is happening.. So.. For my own sanity and my blood pressure I am in mujhe farakh nahi padta mode..

About ranting go on.. You are most welcome to rant away your frustrations.. I might join you in a day or two..

Yes they fell in love much before the wedding.. Shivay even had an inkling.. But anni realizes it after marriage.. They just accepted it after marriage..

Nkashatra, what a beautiful analogy! I was one of the many who ranted that Annika shd have left Shivaay but it makes sense looking at your POV.

These two are bound/destined to be together and they will always, come what may!

Yes, as dysfunctional the entire family is, they do come together when needed and Annika had always craved for that!

Beautifully written Nakshhatra...👏

The forced marriage track might be just a trp stunt by the channel and makers 😆 but that doesn't help a story or show for long time.

So I would see it as an act of characters forgetting the offscreen drama.

Now coming to forced marriage and aftermath of the same, they did write the story really very beautifully keeping aside all the parallel tracks. The writing and journey of Shivika is beautifully portrayed with details just like an artist doing a portrait, or an artist making the sculptures.😳

The truth is Shivaay and Annika both r in love even before marriage. Annika made her feelings evident to Shivaay and that's the reason he even went on to think she loves him during karvachauth. At the same time, Shivaay always used to hold himself back because of his NKK.

Daksh mu made Shivaay go mad but still he didn't trouble her for that. He just tried to ignore and behave as if she doesn't exist at all.

Only on the marriage day, the series of events with Tia eloping, Richa who was brought was made to step back from the marriage at the end moment with Annika's words, made him act in such a way. Shivaay was told in his face by Richa, that Annika's words influenced her and she is backing away from marriage.

It's true that a person who is angry stops thinking with heart and what is wrong and right. At such a point, his brain took over his heart and he thought abt his family's izzat and reacted in a extreme way.

And as Nakshhatra mentioned, when Annika asked Saahil abt his well being, saahil made it clear he was never in danger. So Shivaay just made Annika believe that he kidnapped Saahil and might harm him if she didn't listen to him with his blackmail.😆

Saying that I'm not supporting what Shivaay did...yes, he did wrong. But at the same time don't judge a person for what he did. See what he is and what he went through or faced just before that which made him go blank and act like that.😳 he is wrong but still he has his own reasons.

Soon after marriage, Annika walked out and returned to her home. Even when Daadi asked her to come back, she right away said she don't consider the marriage. But Daadi caught her red handedly showing how she held mangalsutra closer to her heart even after removing jewellery right in front of Shivaay. That was rather a shocking moment for both Shivaay and Annika tbh at that moment.

So when Daadi insisted, she obliged considering the relation/bond she shares with Daadi, Prinku, OmRu. And she never forgave Shivaay at that moment or even later when mu was cleared and Shivaay said sorry. Shivaay did say sorry but he never expected her to forgive him for his sorry.

Annika was shown to be angry with him but suddenly found Shivaay in problem because of Tia's false allegations. If that was written a little later, then we would have got more episodes with Annika being angry. But nevermind, we did get beautiful episodes even now. Annika even though was angry but still wanted to get him out of the situation as she was the only one who knew Tia's truth. No one besides her knew abt it. And this time Shivaay also supported her and believed her.

That's where there journey towards a new life began.😳 Shivaay inspite of finding himself stuck in many situations, never gave up on their realtionship or Annika...but he bought some time to fix things and to make sure everything was set right from time to time.

He might have hurt his Annika,his mother, and other relations too at some point or the other with his decisions but did anyone think how much hurt he might have felt when he was always made to choose between the people he loves the most?😕

Anyways, as they say, actions speak louder than words, Shivaay might have just said a simple sorry for all his doings which is really very small but he did redeemn himself with his actions through out his journey. Like wise,Annika might not have walked out or said some harsh words, but still she stayed in their relation making him realise what he did and what she faced. That's what makes Shivika journey beautiful and interesting and unique.😊

I think I have written really a long essay...😆 sorry emotions mein behek gayi..😆

Let say X is in love with Y (kind of obsessed with Y) and Y is independent woman with a little brother and no parents. X has a dysfunctional family but a family still. Now X to get his love, orchestrated a fake kidnapping of Y brother, blackmailed Y by showing her fingers of Y brother and then forced her to sit in the marriage Mandap. X is not even doing this for fake naam khaandaa and all but for his love. Now X dadi will come and say beti Y abse X hi tera suhaag hain. And bam, X all crimes are forgotten. If this is the case, every street there are boys obsessed with certain girls and can do the same. There is no doubt about shivaay redemption, they actually redeemed shivaay but it shouldn't be Anika responsibility in the first place as the base for the same is a "crime". A forced marriage done under a threat.

There is this Korean movie set up in 1820s where twoneighbours one a single girl doing small time jobs, the other living with his mother, grandmother, maternal aunt, father and widowed sister and son fall in on/off love and eventually end up marrying each other. But the boy was unable to give child to the family, so he kind of ask her wife to sleep with his best friend in a hotel room to have a child. But wife refuses. Then one day he drugged her wife and called his friend for the same. The wife doesn't have any idea about it but later on when child become 3 she came to k ow about the "rape" and confront her husband about the same for breaking her trust and integrity. The husband still love her wife, but he also realizes the true extent of breaking someone integrity and values by forcing them do certain things.here atleast Anika have an idea beforehand about forced marriage. The wifee ended up moving away from the house while husband drown himself into alcohol. No happy ending. Now if that was a Hindi TV serial or a Disney movie, husband grandmother would have advised wife to give support to the husband, or their 3 old child will be dubbed as "sing" or mini hung in online forums (wife name was si Han and husband name was hung)..and all will be sweet like mills and boon novels or Disney movies.

Yes but if the criminal actually gave his life to save you then it will definitely add it in his favor but how can I explain this to people who think in black and white not in the shades of grey..

Ps: I never said shivay was not wrong, all I said he redeemed himself..
