As a singer has Sonu Nigam come closer to Kishore and Mohammed Rafi's

He's brilliant but not better than Kishore and Rafi for me. He's on par with Udit I guess but Kumar Sanu is better.

If u assess just the singing caliber he is at par with the above two and slightly edges out Kumar sanu and uditji. In a different era, sonu would have been a different singer. But if I assess the legacy that the above guys have left, he would fall behind just by the sheer body of work if the above two. For whatever reason, I feel sonu should have had a better career. I've seen Kumar Sanu, uditji and Sonu live and trust me he is phenomenal.

Muhammad rafi is his God . but he is better singer than kishore kumar ...kishore kumar was weak at classical ,.,,sonu is baap in classical singing ...what sonu can sing in classical kishore couldnt even have attempted or left it to rafi the songs from sonu private album "Classicaly Mild" are bench mark...and comparing him to .kumar sanu will be comparing shahrukh khan to emran hashmi ,,,kumar sanu was limited to melody love sad songs singer with limited range and surr sang similar songs all his carrier ...listen to 1 song of kumar sanu and u have listened it all ...sonu is only singer today who dont have any limitation ...he can sing high and low , qawali , ghazal , rock , pop , naat , bhajan , gurbani , english songs , family sad romantic.., sufi satrange re , ..he is only singer from 90's who can change his voice for different songs ...

Idk much about singing but I dont like his voice

he tries to ape rafi ji lot bt still i would not compare him with him..
he can never match Kishore Kumar ..he was unique..
sonu is better than atifs n the mohits of today..n even better
than arijit..never liked kumar sanu much he is so nasal..
udit narayan is good enough so will put him at par with sonu

That's like a landmark song.! Such a difficult song it is.
