Okay so guys, remember me? Let me just re-introduce myself. I'm Nandini. I used to write on this forum but then had to discontinue my stories because of my studies. Now, I'm comparatively free.
Many of my old readers wanted me to re-start my stories, esp Greeshma Di and Akriti. So, here I am.
Story so far..
It's a story of Raman, manager of a leading architectural firm and Ishita, star architect working under him. Both of them fall for each other while working together but when Raman proposes her, she rejects his proposal. Raman being a resolute confronts her, leading to some dark and ugly revelations of her past life. He accepts her with all her demons and convinces his parents too for their wedding. Mutually it is decided that ISHRA would have a simple court marriage.
Note: Lines in italics and bold are inner perspectives of both the characters.
Chapter 15
Ishita's POV
Caressing the soft petals of roses kept on her dresser, she bent down a little to take in their sweet fragrance as a beautiful smile spread across her lips.
Kis kadar khubsoorat gulaab hai..
Her cocoa eyes didn't missed a neatly folded note tucked in between the beautiful bunch of red roses. Picking it out carefully, she smiled caressing the paper as the solitaire encasing her finger sparkled in the dim sunlight which was lighting the room in soft hues of yellow.
As she opened the note, easing out the creases, she saw his cutely clumsy handwriting scribbled all across the paper, ruled out words, and corrections right on their top. She shook her head on his clumsiness. Who would say he was the RKB, one of the finest architects India has?
She chuckled softly before she started reading the note,
Nervous?
I'm not. Rather, I'm freaking out.
She laughed at his cuteness.
Now, Now, don't laugh to-be Mrs. Bhalla. Every man freaks out on the day he gets married. Not because he's afraid of commitments and responsibilities which comes along with this new relationship. Rather, it's the feeling of not being good enough for the woman he loves freaks him out.
You must be wondering why..
A girl leaves behind everything, her parents, her family, the house she grew up in, even her surname. Now she has a new family to look after to, a family she knows nothing about and suddenly, her life isn't hers anymore.
Why? Just to be with the man she loves.
Even after sacrificing so many things, if her man can't keep her happy, give her the love and respect she deserves, it's a shame.
Today as we embark on this new journey together, I promise to hold you, cherish you, love you like a man should.
You've made my life beautiful with just your presence. I promise to give you a fairytale in our little lifetime.

Ishita had tears in her eyes by the time she had finished reading the note Raman had written for her. Picking up her mobile, she typed a message with her trembling fingers and hit the send button.
Itna pyaar..
I: Zaroor kisi dil se nikali sachhi dua ke badle Murgan ne aapko meri zindagi mein bheja hai. Mohabbat ek lafz ke ilawa aur kuch nahi tha mere liye. Magar aapne uss lafz ko maayne diye hai mere liye.
Aap kehte hai maine aapki zindagi ko aur khubsoorat bana diya, lekin main aapko yeh kaise batau ki aapne toh meri puri zindagi he badal di?
Raman, maine kabhi khwaab mein bhi nahi socha tha ki koi mujhse bhi itni mohabbat karega. Bahout taqleef se bhara safar teh kiya hai maine, lekin agar har uss taqleef ke badle Murgan ne aapko mujhe diya hai, then trust me, every pain, every tear was worth it.
I love you. I love you so so much. <3
With batted breath, Ishita waited for his reply. No doubt, within a couple of minutes, her mobile buzzed again.
R: You've no idea how precious your words are to me. Tum mere liye kya ho yeh shayad main kabhi tumhe samjha na pau. I love you more Ishita, so much more.
Itni mohabbat maine apne aap se bhi nahi ki jitni main tumse karta hoon.
Can't wait to see you as my bride.
Ishita smiled at the dreamy emoji he had sent, I: I can't wait to be your bride. ā¤ļø
She looked at her henna filled hands which had taken a beautiful shade of maroon and was turning black at some places. Lost between the intricate design, she caressed the initials of Raman as a teardrop or two fell down on her hands and she closed her palms as if securing them.
Raman's POV
Bas main he jaanta hoon maine khud ko kaise kaabu kiya jab maine Ishita ka message padha. Mujhe nahi pata tha mera chhota sa note usse itna gehra chhu jayega. Mujhe pata tha use gulab kis kadar pasand hai. I thought, isse behtar koi tohfa nahi ho sakta. After all, red roses symbolizes eternal love.
Uska har ek lafz.. how am I supposed to explain how am I feeling at the moment? Itne mahino pehli baar shayad usne khul kar apne jazbaaton ko mujhse share kiya hai and to be honest, I feel as if I've conquered the world.
"And we're here!" Mihir announced as he stopped the car, breaking Raman's chain of thoughts.
Raman took in a deep breath as he stepped out of the shining Mercedes, looking every bit devastatingly handsome in his all black Pathani kurta and salwar.
Why am I so nervous?
He looked at the four storeyed building in front of himself. Why was it still hard to believe that he was getting married to the love of his life?
Mr Bhalla patted his son's shoulder proudly making Raman smile too. Raman could see the satisfaction of seeing his son getting married twinkling in his old eyes. Everyone was welcomed warmly by Mihika who was all that Ishita had in the name of family.
Raman didn't failed to notice the softness with which his best friend greeted Mihika who reciprocated the tenderness.
Seems like we're going to have another wedding very soon.
Noting to ask Mihir abt Mihika later, Raman sipped the khus sharbat, cool and refreshing summer drink of sweet smelling grass. Soon the official from court who also happened to be Mr. Bhalla's very good friend arrived and so did the most anticipated moment of the day, their wedding.
Raman was laughing at something Mr. Bhalla just spoke up when his chocolate orbs caught sight of his bride and sure enough, air knocked out of his lungs. It seemed as if for a moment time stood still and the world around them melted into oblivion.
In pristine white anarkali with beautiful mutli-colored sequined dupatta covering her head, she looked completely ethereal. He didn't missed those beautiful henna filled hands with flower bangles around her wrist. For jewelery, she had just picked up a stunning pair of jhumkas. She looked at him briefly and he noted a bold dash of kohl in her eyes which only enhanced the beauty of her eyes.
His eyes followed her as she was made to sit down besides him. He took in every feature of her gorgeous face while she kept her eyes shielded with those long eyelashes.
Raman signed off the marriage papers the court official that brought along followed by Mr and Mrs Bhalla as eye witnesses. The papers were then passed on to Ishita who signed them and as her witnesses, Mihir and Mihika signed the papers.
And it's done!
We just got married.
Mr. Bhalla first came forward to hug his son happily followed by Toshi Ji. They blessed the couple for a beautiful future together and a blissful married life.
Mihir was next who whispered something in Raman's ear making Raman punch him playfully in his stomach. For Ishita, he just held her hand and welcomed her in the family lovingly.
Sneaking a moment, Raman leaned in towards her ear and whispered, "Congratulations Mrs. Bhalla!"
He adored the crimson that rose up her cheeks before she looked at him, "Congratulations to you too Mr. Bhalla."
A few hours later,
Raman glanced at his watch impatiently.
Kya yaar? Kab tak mujhe yahin bithakar rahenge?
Shaadi ho gayi hai humari, phir bhi mujhe uske paas nahi jaane de rahe.
Shaadi se pehle bhi sukoon nahi hai, Shaadi ke baad bhi sukoon nahi hai.
Raman scowled to himself much to Simmi's laughter.
"Bechara Bhai." She teased him only to earn a deadly glare.
"What? Mujhe ghoor ne se kya ho jayega? Mom ne aapko andar jaane se mana kiya hai, maine nahi." She snapped back at him.
"Tum toh baat he mat karo! Ek ghante se pagal bana diya hai mera." Raman scowled yet again.
"Haaye, itni bhi kya besabri?" Simmi spoke up mischievously.
"Simmi ki bachhi." Raman pulled her ear playfully.
"Ahh.. Mom, dekho Bhai mera kaan kheech raha hai." Simmi complained while rubbing her ear.
"Raman!!" Toshi ji called out for him in stern voice, "Shaadi ho gayi hai lekin akal nahi aayi abhi bhi."
Simmi stuck out her tongue at him.
"Aur yeh jo mujhe pareshaani kar rahi hai?" Raman complained like a little boy.
Well, they were not less than kids when it came to fighting and complaining.
"Chhedna toh behen ka haqq hota hai." Toshiji replied, smiling at cute smirk Simmi gave him.
"Mera koi haqq hai yaa nahi?" Raman demanded grumpily.
"Abb aa gayi hai na teri biwi. Uss par dekhna apne haqq." Toshi ji spoke up.
"Uske paas bhi nahi jaane de rahe." Raman mumbled under his breath.
"Kuch kaha tumne?" Toshi ji asked him while arranging the slices of apples and oranges on the plate.
"Nahi." Raman grumbled cutely.
"Le Simmi, jaakar Bhabhi ko dede. I'm sure she must be hungry." Toshiji reflected while passing on the plate to Simmi.
"Main dekar aau?" His chocolate orbs twinkled with hope.
"Tujhe bola Maine?" Toshi ji pulled his ear as Mr. Bhalla sniffled back a laugh unlike Simmi who broke into giggles before disappearing in his room.
"Kya Maa?" Raman frowned making Toshiji laugh too.
"Kyu baccho jaise kar raha hai? Abb puri zindagi using ke saath beetani hai tujhe. Thoda sabr kar lega to kya ho jayega? Tum dono bhale ke liye he hai yeh. Pandit Ji ne kaha tha kala saaya hai. Ashubh hota hai beta." Toshiji tried to make him understand.
Iss Pandit ki toh main!!
Raman knew there wasn't any way out of it other than to wait quietly.
Ishita's POV
She smiled looking at the photo frames that hung in a corner of the room. She admired those deep dimples as he smiled widely on his convocation day while a very proud Mr and Mrs Bhalla stood besides him posing for the camera. She had no doubt that her husband was a meritorious student.
Husband..
A soft smile graced her lips.
I'm Mrs. Ishita Raman Bhalla now. Itna ajeeb hai na, kaise kuch lamhon mein aapki puri zindagi badal jaati hai.
Itna achha hota agar Amma, Appa bhi hote mujhe aur Raman ko apna ashirvaad dene ke liye.
Main toh yeh bhi nahi jaanti woh hai kahan yaa phir.. hai bhi yaa nahi?
Small tears springed up in her eyes as her heart ached at the unjustice of life. When she turned around, she saw the beautiful decoration of roses and candles.
Lekin aaj ki raat yeh sab sochne ke liye nahi hai. Aaj ki raat sirf Raman ki hai, uss shaks ki jisne mujhe itni khubsoorat zindagi touhfe mein de hai, apni belaus mohabbat de hai.
No, I can't spoil it for him.
With this thought ringing in her mind, she wiped away those tears from her eyes.
She heard the knob of door turning and almost involuntarily her heart beat picked up pace.
His handsome self entered the room with that charming dimpled smile and a wide smile graced her lips too.
As he closed the door behind him, thudding of her heart increased. All thanks to that musky cologne of his which always had this effect on her.
He pulled his brows together as he turned to look at her, "Were you crying?" He asked her, sumwat confused.
Yeh Aadmi..
He chuckled softly, probably at the How Do You Know look she gave him.
"Nahi" Ishita replied, trying to cover up.
"Jhooti." He smirked, "Tell me, is something wrong?"
He came forward and held her hands lovingly making her smile fondly.
"Koi baat nahi hai Raman. Trust me.. itna khushi ka din hai aaj. Main kyu roungi?" Ishita replied, looking in his eyes.
"Khair woh toh hai. Aaj humari mohabbat ko uska mukaam mila hai. We're officially, Mr. And Mrs. Raman Bhalla now." He spoke up, his chocolate orbs gleaming with happiness.
