Madhubala and Mumtaz... these two were so beautiful, they could've totally played Padmavati!!!

The current lot... I think DP is the apt choice. But if I had to choice another maybe Bhoomi.

I think that character requires lot of elegance and grace not just beauty, in short acting chops to convince people that Khilji would go berserk after taking one look at her ( doesn't matter if it really happened or not, that's the story)

Cannot imagine anyone from 1990-2017 able to do that

TV actresses might be better suited (I know the elites here would pool pooh that )

In the 90s people went crazy over TV Sita and Draupadi... Those actresses were so convincing (I heard people used to touch her feet wherever Deepika Chikalaia went)

Although they were really good looking, they were not stunningly beautiful or anything
