I think Akshaye khanna would had done an amazing job because he was also at the boarding school.

Akshay is no doubt a fine actor but him as the lead would still not sell.

There’s however also the fact that Aamir and the director clashed half way through the movie and Aamir took over and directed it. The TZP that we all love today is an Aamir Khan product. We don’t know what would have happened had the director stayed on board.

So the director had no other way of finding Akshay Khanna, the son of Vinod Khanna, in Bollywood but through Aamir Khan? What is he not telling us?

you just can't go to a Star actor without some link if you don't know him personally.

the director wasn't some big shot, Akshaye was a big star. and they were not closed by any means.

Director knew Aamir, so he tried to use Aamir so that Khanna can gave him his time to atleast listen to him.
