One Shot - The Moon & The Night
"You brought me back!" He whispered. His words flowed like a cascade. The night was dark and the moon bright. The night was always on his side. Darkness was something very much his own. They had been friends. The darkness of the night shadowed his tears and engulfed in itself his pain and fears. The moon was bright and lit the darkest corners, just like her. She was like the moon. She accepted her faults and shortcomings just like the moon accepted it's daagh(stains).
The Night and the moon had been terribly failing to name their relationship. The moon was confused. At times the night pushed it away and at times pulled it close.
She looked at him tears glistening her eyes. "Is that why you want me to come back?"
"Yes.I mean ...No...I..." He struggled to find the right words. He knew how important he words were. Words did harm that even the swords would shy away to. But there he stood helpless love ke the night unable to decide what exactly his heart wanted.
When she went away she took along a part of him and yet left him a part of himself that shined with her light.
She sighed. He never had the right words, for her. Or perhaps din't want to.
She stepped closer, placing her hand on his chest."What does your heart want?"
He looked at her helpless, yet with the flickering light of hope."I wish I knew...I din't know ye Dil Kya Chahta Hai!" He said his eyes meeting her does shaped ones with all honesty.
She sighed pulling back her hand. If he wasn't decisive about what he wanted, it was his problem, wasn't it? Then why the hell did she want to help him. Perhaps cause somewhere down she believed that everything that was his was equally hers, his pain, his hurt, his troubles, his fear?
He held her hand midway in air. She looked up at him baffled like always.
He nodded. She blinked. And without another thought hugged him with all her might. It was his fear, that confused him. He feared the light would burn him or blind him. His fear was understandable. But did she deserve it?
He was startled at her sudden move. It was exactly what he needed at the moment. A reassuring hug. He hugged her back, wondering how she understood him so well. Maybe it was just him who never wanted to understand her. The rest could wait cause the moment was like an enchanted spell.
As the Full Moon Celebrated the Night, the two stood their in a tight reassuring embrace. Their hearts were vulnerable, and souls helpless, but the night was enchanted and weaved into a beautiful thread, just like a fairy tale.
For the moment that was sufficient.
Though the moon would fade, and disappear and reappear continuing its cycle. Possibly the cycle could be broken and the stars could play cupid and forever let the moon be with the night. Perhaps sooner or later...the world would know the popular love story of the Moon and Night?
