So Priyanka Chopra thinks her Dadasaheb Phalke "award" is of national significance. MSG won it last year, btw. It's a namesake sham.

Credibility of all awards have degraded even national awards lost significance...but we who are active on Internet know it. Larger junta will still consider it big..

Priyanka's not even coming to India to collect the award. That shows how much she cares... not at all. Some people want to give her an award... let them. Many people have won this in the past... Even Priyanka has too. This is her second or third.

Priyanka came to India when she received her Padma Shri. She obviously won't for this.

Btw the Dadasaheb Phalke Award which is of REAL value is the highest award in cinema. This year Telugu producer K Vishwanath won it.

There is also a Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Award which is a private organization which gives out a similar sounding award. Most chota mota to biggie BW type get it. And so do TV stars. This award is the same one.

Indian media makes everything sound like a big deal. for example, "OMG! X beats Y in a random poll" is made into a big deal too ... this is still an award

I don't see anything exposed here. It's a norm in Indian award ceremonies. Didn't Saif and Arjun get National Award?

But her PR is indeed going overboard with this news.

Indian media might make sound everything like a big deal. But this article even quotes her. So its obviously her PR and not some imaginary poll.

Saif and Arjun actually won NA. This isnt connected to NA.
